Poll is closed and the winner is Howston! Remember to vote tracks: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.p...cers-tracks-for-championship-poll-(final-try)

    Hi everyone,

I will arrange a championship which is starting pretty soon hopefully. Other organizers are Mauserrifle and nascar2112 (and maybe some other familiar names, stay tuned).

Before we can start, I wanted to make a poll of what we are going to drive.

Poll will be open until 18th of October.

After that I will open a new thread with in detail information about our championship. I will also update our website http://usr.simresults.net/ along the way.

The plan in a nutshell is this:

    - 10 races total
    - Races every other Sunday
    - 18:00 GMT/UTC starting time
    - Two races, reversed grid for the second one.
    - Changeable weather conditions in some races
    - We will have a separate website for this league/event
    - We value clean racing very much

Let me hear your opinion of what to drive this time around!

    Thank you for listening.

    -Matt

If Howstons are picked, this may be the first rf2 championship I am interested in.

17:00GMT, is this starting time for the Race or for Practice/Qual? (and maybe race will start some time later?).
If race starts 17:00GMT I`m in. More than 18:00GMT - too late for me.

17:00 GMT is starting time for practice. First race will probably start 18:00 GMT (there are probably going to be two races, another one with reversed grid hopefully). Session will end 19:00 GMT. So I think 21:00-23:00 your local time?

Usually I don`t have energy to race that late. But if I will feel better, I might join. I`ll think about it.

In the other hand, for me it's slightly early :p

Anyway, at the moment I'm busy on Sundays at the league where I race, will see how it goes in two months, when season is finished.
    Thanks for the reminder :)

Race start would be 20:00 your local time...

Did you notice that this is only every other week?

But thanks for answering anyway :)

One week to go... still looking pretty good for Howston.

In the meanwhile, you might want to check the first draft of United Sim Racers website where we will be adding stuff as this thing progress: http://usr.simresults.net/

This page will be used once the championship start (you can also sign up there)

There is still pleanty of time to influence but as Howston cars are looking strong I have one question:

If Howstons would be voted to be our choice, would you like if there would be 5 races with g4 and another 5 with g6? Other option is to have all with g4 or with g6...

Sounds good to me (mixed). Tho I prefer the HG4 (closed car) most. I wouldnt mind all races in one type.

    Some track suggestions:

    Longford
    Kyalami
    Mid-Ohio
    Portugal

... Aintree, Brianza and Palm Beach suits these cars too but I don't mind choosing also modern tracks. Have to check out 70s Glen and 79Jarama if they are any good. At least road has to be good quality to even consider certain track.

I prefer the HG4 too, for all races. And all models available... so you can go for the stable, grippy 1969 model, or the super fast but unstable 1967 model.

For tracks I have some suggestions...

We have a couple of tracks which the World sportscar championship visited in late 60's: Brianza 10k, Spa, Sebring, Nurburgring (Nordschleife tourist?) and Watkins Glen (although I'm uncertain of the quality of this track). At least the 4 first tracks are 'mandatory' ;) But also Longford is a must. I wouldn't mind racing a few smaller circuits like Putnam or Snetterton too. And I don't mind a few modern tracks too.

    Longford
    Brianza 10k
    Spa
    Nordschleife
    Sebring
    Snetterton
    Mid-Ohio
    Portugal
    Silverstone
    Watkins Glen? Aintree?

Aintree has quite bumpy road but it's a charming little track. Very fun. But regarding Palm Beach, it's a quite boring track for any car  But one can't enjoy all tracks...

    Nurburgring
    Longford
    Texas 3.0
    Kyalami
    Jarama
    Watkins
    Snetterton
    Zolder
    Sebring
    Silverstone
    Aintree

Edit - And +1 regarding Palm Beach being boring
