Well I never have had any real problem with ATI drivers for a long time, so I'm guessing its something else with your set up? maybe you are just pushing your system to much, is anything overclocked?
nah it's been like this since I got the card (6950), in its second system now. I know, it's odd, but it's always a video driver crashdump, frozen screen. Happens every now and then with my new system, usually in between revisions (betas) Nothing clocked at all. Stock. This system, I've never had to clock it, I have, but I don't as the norm. I know it's a combination of many things, but the driver is the one that freezes "my" system. Like I say 13.2 works fine. I will try the next ones though Will be getting a new card soon anyway, not sure if I am going back to NVidia or staying with Radeon... Sigh, I just don't know
Ignore him, Spinelli. He is trouble. He has been on my ignore list for many months (don't remember why) but you can take a guess from his attitude.
m8 he was being the smart ass Spinelli wrote I thought the point of these drivers were to remove frame skipping/frame latency/stuttering, specifically with 7xxx series cards.... and i was posting about 6xxx series cards i was stating the facts so whats with your attitude didn't like someone stating the driver was crap with there card your a joke
well if you read my comments on my issues with AMD drivers, you'll be happy to know; that these new certified 13.4 ones are working really well with my system and with rF2. I haven't tried the 13.5 beta yet.
I read on guru3d that 13.5 actually has some older versions packaged of things. I will be going for 13.4, it sounds good
Summer 2013 - New memory management - Automatic optimization of the multi-GPU timing system SWEET!!! Impressed with AMD driver support lately.
What about this AMD and ISI thing we could read about last summer (don't remember when actually, but long time ago)... anyone knows more about it? Some kind of cooperation?
Hedlund, are you talking about driver optimization for rF2 from AMD? If so, AMD basically told ISI that it was up to them to optimize the sim to the driver.
Are they planing on doing this or will the red half of the user base be left with an unoptimised game?
yes I wonder that too, as we have heard nothing about it since. I mean I do not have an issue per se, but it would be nice to get the optimization going.. Any word on that @ all Tim? Anyone? I did notice a rather smoother feel with this last certified driver, I was only wondering if ISI did some tweaks for this driver beforehand or was it just luck that the tick tick tick stutter has been reduced without using vsync is all.
