i have a 6970oc2 and this driver killed rfactor and other sim titles for me i went from a consistent 61fps to a stuttering 25fps and that was a fresh install of windows7 and rfactor 2.
i have found all the 13. something drivers to be shocking to the point of thinking of buying a nvidia card
i installed 12.11 and all my problems went away

Excellent driver. Tested with rF2 on HD7950, Windows 8. All settings full/max (x8 anisotropic, shadows optimal), all reflections, wind and crowd motion, raindrops and sun occlusion.

    60fps video synced.

Try taking some of that oc down?
Friend of mine had problems with his factory oc'd card in a few titles.
taking the oc off so it was stock clocks worked for him.

    thx m8
tried this and a few other things
=no change still very bad performance and stuttering iin all sims with all the 13.xx drivers
ac has a very good performance monitor that shows spiking along with av/mx fps with 13.3 the game consistently spikes just flashes red by the first turn spiking is up around 4000 so it's stuttering really bad
i rollback to 12.11 beta 4 and ac doesn't spike at all play it for 3 hours and the spikes reading was 6
i think its time to go back to nvidia

What card do u have? I thought the point of these drivers were to remove frame skipping/frame latency/stuttering, specifically with 7xxx series cards....

I have HD 7750 card and 13.2 drivers. I think it's pretty smooth but could be better. I am not sure if some stuttering (usually hardly noticable) is caused by the game or by the drivers...

    the threads title is
New AMD driver to reduce frame latency issues.
    i don't see anything stating 7xxx card

@john it's more than likely my configuration i just thought i would share the results i was getting with my card
as for buying a nvidia card it wouldn't heart to have 2 to choose from and to compare
hopefully 1 fulls off the back of a truck

Lol well thats just good for the title lol, Mr. Smart Ass.

The title of this thread is irrelevant, I am telling you that the new drivers are aimed at removing frame skipping/frame latency/stuttering, specifically with 7xxx series cards, regardless of what the title of some thread on a some sim-racing website is.

    very weird?
I run 13.3 beta2 and all games run awesome, with pCars and rF2 both running great, 60fps on v-sync and very smooth, rF2 has all details on max, 1920x1200 and supersampling on too
I have two HD6950 on mild overclock in crossfire

lol yeah I tried the 13.3 beta and my PC constantly crashes, screen freezes, have to hard reboot. AMD drivers do that from time to time on my PC, no idea why, but they do. 13.2 is fine, no freezing, no hard reboot, nothing. Coincidence? I don't think so. I think they leave some stuff out from build to build and fix it later on, seems to be the case as this has been happening since I got this card two years ago now. It's funny cause when the PC crashes it is ALWAYS a vid driver crash. Then when they "fix" it I'll either get a video driver stopped responding and has been restarted, or it just plain works with no crashing. Odd I know, but this, I believe lol
