GPL conversions in any other sim feel very ordinary and lifeless for mine. Hope they can do something with that. You can have the best looking track in the world but if it feels like a billiard table makes it boring to drive. Much appreciated anyways.
Blimey Durge, that's the calmest post you've put up for weeks I agree with you, track-macking or even track-porting is an art to get right, & the feel of the track itself is often overlooked. I'm regularly picking tracks for our leagues, & only pick tracks that have that surface irregularity that gives you the "immersion" feeling, ..& yea, you're bored before turn 1 otherwise nb. to articulate the Targa surface for rF2 is one humungous job ..wish I had the skills, but really pleased Georg, Vicent, Tauro and other modders who also love this track - that you're nibbling away at it
You are doing something wrong then I mean the excitement does not (only) come from the track but mostly from the racers around you (competitors).
The rf1 version of this is amazing, and considering its enormous size, beautiful. The lighting is so vivid, on triples it really comes alive and visually is a total joy. Whomever takes on this project best do a very fine job, as the only other track to even come close to its level on a technical level was com8's Nordschleife, so it's a legacy that needs real respect, I think.
Someone is always tripping up my old brain....nikos, where did you get those pictures? Doesn't like like rF1 to me.
Mate it is pretty easy to see without my glasses that is not rF but rF2. Look at the colours rF is realistic as GPL tonal wise. plus I pretty sure that is ISI vette.
Screens look good (hope their unedited to give a true representation ) This is a nice track because its very different to others, a nice drive in the countryside lol Hope textures are updated especially on the road Keep up the good work & thanks!
This track is not payware but doesn't come for free atm. Kuato takes care of this beast and I hope he decides not to release it now because that means he is motivated to put some additional work into the track and release it later in a better state. http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/7930-Targa-Florio-WIP?p=149381&viewfull=1#post149381 Looks like he has found at least one to help him. The only reason why I have the track is because kuato asked me to make a hdr profile. All I can say is that the version I have is in a good state. The framerates are better than the most other tracks but there is a lot of work to do to bring it to rF2 standards (real road, reflections) and I believe Targa Florio deserves that. The worst I can think of is that this great track end up in a quick and dirty conversion.
