I don't think Nürburgring because he said that would be too much work for the team.. But it could be almost anything I hope Lotus...
I got the impression this is in addition to the GM license, with the tweet reading "Trying to open talks......". I sort of assumed the GM "talks" were already out of the way, if contracts have been returned and vehicles are ready to be announced soon? Maybe I misinterpreted that though.
I didn't know it was connected to the GM bit. From the post about the tweet it was assumed to be something unrelated since there is a GM connection already in place. One thing I don't understand are these renewals, does that mean ISI has to renew the license every year for the cars already in game, or does it mean that (taking the Nissan case) a 2014 edition of the existing vehicles has been licensed?
Will the RUF see it's light in RF2? It seems like they are giving those licences pretty easily, most racing sim now has one RUF at least.. McLaren too.. Well, even if it is something in works with those two, it will be kept secret, so I don't know why I even asked
You're right, nvm then. More money always makes things easier. I honestly think this new Ruf craze is kinda "meh" anyway. I'd rather ISI do a look a like and call it the ISI Hammer, if that's allowed of course. It would be cheaper for ISI and be basically the same thing what these other devs. are doing. Anyway, probably wandering a bit off topic here.
I guess my initial guess that the GM licence renewal might include a Chevy SS stock car was wrong. Given this recent announcement: http://rfactor.net/web/2014/03/26/stock-cars-now-in-early-development/ ...it seems that, although with this ISI obviously acknowledges the need to, as I said, "embrace a huge population of simracers", the effort will be an unlicensed car in the form of another Howston, not the SS. The last paragraph is interesting...I don't know if they are looking for partners/contractors or new staff, but I applaud the effort to employ additional resources to bring this to fruition faster. "Returning our GM contract renewal. Will announce added vehicle soon." In the context of a tweet, was it a poor assumption that the second sentence was related to the first, Tim? My assumption was that the word "added" meant added to the contract, rather than added to the rF2 catalog.
Yay, for oval racing! I'm not saying oval racing or road racing is better - I am just cheering for more balance.
There was a clue Tim put on twitter a while ago, something to do with rosey, I reckon it has to do with Sam Posey so this is my guess: That car would be awesome fun. Also, when an update comes for LRP will we see the bridge before T1 with the new banner? http://www.limerock.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=649
Sorry for going off topic but just noticed that ISI are testing a new track in the browser called South shore GP
