Have you noticed where the REAL racing is???

I won't be Dave,i don't think my skills are good enough atm.

 

I know, I even thought to myself, "I wonder if it's strange that I played this server hardcore for a week or two, then joined the forum and stopped playing completely."

I have a few things to say, so I may as well just number them:

1. where do I get the "all cars and tracks" VMod that includes Mid-Ohio? I followed the link earlier in this thread, but it's the non-Mid-Ohio mod. (ISI please change this linked cars and tracks thing!!)

2. Even if I did have the correct vMod...there's nobody in the server anymore to practice with. That was what originally made the server such a hit...it was open and people could just stop in to practice or have a pick-up race. I'm sure the custom VMod acts as a deterrent here...

3. To be frank...at this point in rFactor2's development, I have very little interest in driving the vintage cars on modern tracks. I would much rather spend time on Spa and Monaco...may I remind you that rFactor2 is the only game in the world with a half-decent version of either of those tracks, let alone both. The only reason I play rF2--for now--is the vintage stuff. If I want to race slow open-wheeled cars on modern tracks, I'll stick with the Skip Barber series on iRacing.

Well, I cannot accept that. I'm in the server every day the last 10 days at least. I usually enter after 20.00 GMT and usually we have races with 15 people on the grid.

I can't satisfy everyone. And, the Skippy doesn't hold a candle to these F3s! IMHO

There is also another 60's vMod;
MRN1024-v0.7-1960sWorldClassRacing+AllTracks.rfmod

when they ran the Belgium track all was fine, the next day they ran Mid-Ohio. I had the same problem as you (it said not installed)
So I switched to the bottom one and the server finally found my Mid-Ohio install.

I'll check what you have mentioned and see if I can get back on the track. Raced a bit with you in a server the other day. Was great fun learning a new track for me. I used to play GPL so I'm loving this sim.

The Saturday races I haven't signed up for because I work Sat.
That's the only reason for not signing.

As far as one thinking they don't have the skills, that doesn't count. Some one will help in that area.

I mean, you should see my skills, and I get on.

 

Thanks for the reply. Everything is installed but in the server browser I click join and i get this "Server Connection Fail"

I must be missing something .. hmm

For problems online with 1960sWorldClassRacing+AllTracks.rfmod

first go in single player choose mod and track ,after this go online and join .it works fine. it!s a bug from Mod
"Before entering in a vMod server, select offline the vMod (or you can have a mismatch error). it's a rF2 bug"

There are two mods needed. If one doesn't work you need the other one.

All_Tracks_1960_WCR_v1.1.rfmod (by F1Elites.com)
MRN1024-v0.7-1960sWorldClassRacing=AllTracks.rfmod

You can have all required tracks installed but if you don't have the two above rfmod's
you may never get on the server when they are needed.

I'd really like to take part in those saturday races, but sadly at that time of the night I'm mostly out of home with my wife and friends.

Ok, I tried to join your server, but I don't have the necessary mods. After some research, I downloaded the said mods but I can't seem to install the vmod, probably due to missing putnam park. Unfortunately, I can't download it because the file has been removed from the alternate source. Now what?
