There is a workaround that seems to make VR work. Copy the OpenXR dll to LMU folder and add the +VR parameter to the game launch options in Steam I haven't tested yet (i'm at work) but people in Discord say that works.
Wow, can't believe the UI menus are so buggy! Most everything else seen in the videos seems reasonable for early access, but when setting the time for a race doesn't work, it makes you wonder about the programmer's ability.
The problem will be that's it's not something S397 will be "fixing" instead it will be a job for the third party software developer. I'll go out on a limb here and suggest that although LMU will provide the same sort of access that the rF2 shared memory plugins use they will be "named" differently so a new plugin will be needed; of course that MIGHT simply require a few simple changes and then recompiled.
I hope in my discord channel, there will be someone do that! The Sim feels as it is already very good!
I'd like to think that the people behind the popular third party tools such as CrewChief, SimHub and Log Analyser would have been provided with the required information to amend their software before the release of LMU.
I would also like to have such a connection, I would pass the information on to our chief developer immediately!
In theory, but a glance (ie 10 minute read!) of the known issues indicates there's a lot on the todo list. Early access not supporting all third party tools, when some parts of the UI itself are bugged or dysfunctional, isn't a big surprise.
Unusable for me right now, rf2, ac, acc run good on my comp. I have a choppy undrivable situation so far. LM Ultimate not doing to good.
Surprisingly to me, LMU players do not seem to be coming from the rF2 ranks. View attachment upload_2024-2-20_14-10-21.png
LMU runs quite good on my system. I did have 1 CTD but, my fault for not restarting after changing AA settings in graphics. No UI lag here, some plugins work with renaming. My motion system is working just like with rF2. Seems they may have dropped the ball with early access for plugin development, though. Overall, graphics are improved, as is audio. Easier access to FFB settings (without closing session).
Hello guys. I want to say Congrats in a good job so far with this title! The good thinks are Sound, amazing sounds, performance is still a bit unoptimized! Now what i really want to talk is... calibrate and FFB settings, the feeling is not good at all... in more high speed corners the overall effects ( even trying to tweak it the best way possible ) are too strong, the spikes are ridiculous strong, then in slow corners the laking of details and effects is noticable, i have a Simucube 2 Sport and i know how to run with good settings! The worst thing for me is the " lag " in the center position of the wheel and the completley lack of effects, it seems that the full mapping line of steering doesn't have the precision and detail that rF2 has... i mean at all !! This is horrible for a proper Sim that i think you guys aim to be! Please this is one of those super important and priority things to fix and to be good !! Thanks
