Thank you for the Hint, so there probably will be more SCN Files around, that have LodOut Entries. EDIT The Tool is offline until i have fixed that.
I don't like why the newer versions of 3DSimed3 now have started putting the LOD lines in the scn file (or has it always done that?). Because it does that, a good thing, you don't need reddapg tool, you can just use Notepad and use the Find and Replace option. I never let 3DSimed3 touch my scn files any way. As someone with a slow computer I prefer if everyone did not set everything to 9999 metres. There could be only a small few items that need to be this high LOD (like the skybox). Set it to something like 1000metres, if you see any bad pop ups with a few items, then it's easier to manually change just them small few.
The Tool is online again. I did add some Routines that detect existing LodOut Entries and display a Warning about it. If you want to keep it, it will stay untouched and if you select a new LodOut Value, the old one gets replaced by it. @philrob It would be nice, if you could check it with exactly the same SCN with that you've got the double LodOut Entry. @DJCruicky I've made the Tool because of the Meshes that have the 10000 m LodOut Values (as normally) stored in the gmt File itself and not in the SCN. And that, can not be changed easily with Notepad. But if you don't like it, just don't use it.
Chris, just ran the same track as a test, worked great all 10000m changed to 2000m in this case. Max had a default of 10000m if i remember correctly. thanks again.
Thank you for Testing! And if you again find something wrong, please keep reporting, also for other Tools. Yes, that's right.
Due to a Request from @philrob, i did add a new Tool, with that you can find missing or wrong set Braces in Instance Entries of SCN Files (Thank you for the Testing @philrob ). Even if it has some Limitations, it can be helpful, if a Track crashes the DevMode while loading. It is called: Find missing or wrong set Braces in SCN File Instance Entries The Script only detects and lists possible Problems, that have to be checked manually then! If you find Problems or have Questions/Suggestions, please post here.
Just as an Information: i did add an Option, to reset all Settings for all Cars of the same Class to the basic Ones, to the below linked Tool, with that you can transfer your Seat, Mirror, ... Settings from one Car, to all other Cars of the same Class. Transfer Mirror, Seat etc Settings from one Car, to all other Cars of the same Class Note: It can happen, that, if the ini File is too big, the Script can not completely load it, due to the Limitations of the free Webspace. In such Cases, you can not use that Tool, sorry.
Just as an Information. I did add the Option to remove Tags, to the Tool "Check and edit SCN file tags". And as usual: if you notice something not working properly, please report here.
Just as an Information. I've added a new Tool called "Convert a Sound SFX into a JSON File" (Konvertiere die Sound SFX in eine JSON Datei). The Tool is really VERY WIP and currently more a Test than a fully working Tool, that it maybe never will be. But who knows. Direct Link IMPORTANT HINT: Don't forget to Link the JSON instead of the SFX File, in all veh Files!
Thank you Jürgen, but don't expect too much from it. It's no perfectly working Tool, but it helps a little bit to get the Sound Files linked into a Sound JSON File. And i e.g. also tried to add a Routine, to get the Blending between the Engine Sounds at different RpM, getting it from the SFX, into it. But in this Case for Example, i had to work with some Guesses, basing on the original Values in the DevMode Skip Barber Sound JSON and it's corresponding Values in the Skip Barber SFX File. It's WIP and so i'll continue with trying to improve it.
Happy new Year for all of you Some Info again. Due to a Suggestion from @Slow Motion , i've added a new Tool called "Add new Functions to your HDV File (PushToPass, Gearprotection, ...)", with that you can set up and add new Functions to your HDV File. Currently you can do that with ATTACKMODE BOOSTMIXTURELIMITS ENGINEMIXTURELIMITS GEARPROTECTION PUSH2PASS To add new TC and ABS Features too may last a While, because they don't have an own [Sektion], what makes it a bit harder to get them into the HDV, especially if some of the Entries exist already. So that will need a lot of Code, to check and recheck.... And i've made a bit of Restructuring of the main Tool Site. The Section "Chassis, Steering and Suspension" is renamed to "For Vehicle Modding" The Field "General" is removed and all the included Tools are moved into the Section "For Vehicle Modding", where also the new Tool is listed. All direct Links to the Sites are still the same. As always, if Problems appear, post here.
First try works more than less flawless, well done. Just the tire sound (Skid) are much to loud. Any tips how to lower that in the json file?
I still try to find out Things like that. Did you try it with the "volume": { Values? From the Entry of the affected Sound File, scroll upwards until you find the first "volume": { Entry and a Line like "value": [[200,0,0],[13000,4,-0.6]] and there, try it with lowering the middle Values (bold).
A small Update for the Tool "Add new Functions to your HDV File (PushToPass, Gearprotection, ...)". I've added the Option to also add new ABS and TC Functionalities to the hdv. If you use the Tool and you can not see any of the Following Options in the Selection, even if you are 100 % sure, that they don't already exist in your hdv, please inform me. ATTACKMODE BOOSTMIXTURELIMITS ENGINEMIXTURELIMITS GEARPROTECTION PUSH2PASS ABS TC And if you encounter any other Problems, also report here please.
