AMS2 started hanging on exit for me about 2 weeks ago from that last G-HUB driver update and also my ACC again, needs to be closed via task manager, (was fixed once already with last acc update) rF2 & ACC can be closed via task manager but for me, AMS2 simply has a black screen on exit & task manager won't open so restart is the only way to get my pc back .. I explained my issues in the "feed back" tab in the G-Hub main page before this latest driver update but didn't seem to help lol.
I am suffering the same, have been for a week or so, have to kill RF2 in task manager. I suspect this is not an RF2 issue though. I tried killing off G-Hub but no change, I was going to change the G-hub settings so it does not automatically start up and then reboot and see what happens.
I've tried all of that, no luck. Just use older version. I've mentioned in an earlier post which version is working for me, and how to get it.
Nice fix guys - good detective work. I have a small problem. I uninstall ghub, I then go to the link and download the version Thomas reccomended but when I run it, it’s the new version even though I dl an older version. I know it sounds weird but I tried several times today. Any ideas?
Sorry, not actually done this yet so I cant help you but perhaps I will get the time to try tomorrow. I don't find it too much trouble to just kill it in Task manager though. I did have this before and it was definitely a G-Hub issue, but then after a newer version of G-hub it went away but logitech seem to have re-introduced the problem again, Oh well.......
the download page is wrong, maybe because the file name is the same for different versions. look at the size of the files. This version should be the latest before the change (2021.12.4779)
This is the version that I'm using, shared from my google drive. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1m7Dw9TZD78KeFpgofdcrfN9AjD2usDKS/view?usp=sharing
yes, seems that there is something wrong on the logitech site. It always loads the newest version of G-hub even if you choose an older version. The link from Tomislav should help
fwiw its also doing this for me i don't use / have ghub, i do have the profiler, ill see if that's causing the issue, or some other tray tool... although im pretty sure ive checked it.. i don't have an option to close the app in task manager, cause its not there! i have to exit steam and go back in. it then prompts to wait because its closing rfactor2 :-|... this is with vr btw, so that's also another variable.
I have the same problem with rfactor2 on Steam that won't close. Attached image link in imgur. If I point to these two squares and hit finish then it does close rFactor on Steam but I don't know what to do so I don't have to open the task manager every time to close it.
