Hi guys, Working on the Zonda, I needed some tires. Now ISI provides a handful and that's nice. The ones I want, are not in there however and the closest tire is to small. I started making a tom on my own width the help of ISI's pdf. That work (for now) but I had to specify the with and height of the tire and used ISI's layout on the nodes for that. You see; filling in the values from those 48 nodes on the x- and y axis, gives you an example of how the tire is shaped. The closest was an 295 30 20 and I needed a 335 30 20. So it had to grow some fat Well, you can't just add a few centimeters in every direction; you have to calculate it........to get the same shape (or; a good shape). I made a sheet in excell for myself, but if there is any use for here, I will clean it up, make it nice and user-friendly and put it in here. What does it do? - You have to fill in the x and y values of the first 24 nodes; the rest comes automatically. - Specify the width and height of your tire and rim and the desired tire size (rim width may not be included, so you have to start with a tire the same height of rim) - The sheet will work out for you the new values for all 49 nodes, x and y It looks like this: (inner is existing, outer is calculated) The sheet is very messy right now, still in very, VERY early state, just did what it had to do So, if you have use for it, let me know here and I'll try to have this ready over the weekend
Good to hear guys. It's getting there; now in testing if all works fine and thought of some "features" to build in to make it nicer and nicer. After that; cleaning up, making it nice and release. Should be somewhere in the weekend. Made the graphic screen nice I thought (saw I could use this one too, thought it was "professional" )
Got it! Here it sits: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.p...m)-calculator-with-visual?p=336564#post336564
