it is in order of what your GPU supports in it's control panel. So for me, my AMD card starts with 2xMSAA, then has 2xMSAA EQ (which i think uses a few more sample points), then i get 4xMSAA, and so on it goes.

So level 1 is the first, level 2 is the second, and so on that goes, too. I think when i tested some of this for rf1 i discovered that those EQ versions do not work, not sure about rf2.

They didn't. Maybe they don't know one ;)
As far as I remember, whole thing ended up on our speculation

I thought they were just double, level 1 is 2x, level 2 is 4x etc

It supposed to and that's true in rFactor 1. In rF 2 there are more options than you find in gfx drivers settings - that's the reason for the whole confusion. What corresponds to what?

My gtx 680 nVCP corresponds with rF2 AA menu and both have the same effect

I didn't notice that. Has everyone got 8 levels? If so it's probably a default amount of levels, perhaps.

It's whatever your graphics card can do - it should match your driver management thingy, if it doesnt, your driver may be hiding options or something. :)
