Drying track @ Loch Drummond in Megane . Watching replays from a track-side camera I notice the skin colours of the car reflecting perfectly in the wet track surface . As the car comes closer to the camera the skin reflection is lost and just the 'skeleton' of the car remains (roll-cage , rear-wing , driver etc) . If just the skin (plus wheels+tyres) could be reflected instead of the entire 3D model , would that be less 'expensive' on the frames per second ?
I also see this in Drummond, not if it is wrong, or that maybe are trying to implement something like a mirage in the asphalt I'm not entirely sure if the last image is by heat or water, but I think there is extreme heat
I get this but also had it in previous builds and on other tracks. Almost like the autodetail fps thing but in reverse. The car reflection in the water on track looks better the further away it is, as it gets closer to the camera bits of the car start to disappear in the reflection.
