That has already been reported. I think the group is convinced it is a wastegate sound. Last night I drove two of the BTCC brands at Bahrain and I could hear that noise, but only when it should have occurred, like releasing the throttle and downshifting. Were you in private practice when you recorded that? However, just now, after installing some new skins, I went back out and the sounds seemed normal for the first third of a lap and then the Wastegate exploded over and over as in your video. Definitely something I hope they can fix quickly! @Alex Sawczuk
Phew, I thought I was going to be the only one. I tested a couple of BTCC cars and the S397 Porsche GTE and they all make that sound. It seems to kick in around 20 seconds after joining an offline practise session. I’ll have an afternoon nap instead of a sim session haha
Definitely not normal. Doesn't sound like any wastegate I've ever heard. Also does it when the car is at a full stop and idling and continues even during replay at very loud volume levels.
Select NO for private practise and bye bye annoying sound glitches. I’ve done a 20 minute practise session followed by a 6 lap race at Silverstone GP in the BTCC’s and the sound glitch has completely gone, when private practise is switched off. Hope it’s the same for you!
