VSCR (Virtual Sportscar Racing) is in the midst of hosting a Stockcar series. The series is a joining of both oval racing using Gen-6 stockcars and road racing using the 1974 Howston Dissenter. Our next two races are up on our servers and ready for practicing. The next two races are: July 10th @ 1600GMT - Dissenter at Toban Creek Short - Reverse July 17th @ 1600GMT - Stockcar at Mountain Peak Each car has its own style and driving technique. Each course requires a new way of thinking and driving. This series has been fun, but we need your help to really fill the grid and make the cup as successful as possible. The Mills race has been completed and now we move onto the Gen6 Stockcars at Joesville. The race will be held on Sunday, June 5th @ 1600 GMT. Joesville is a small oval and will make for very close racing. Come join the server and check out the event information at our website and leave a comment at our forums. After Joesville we set off to Tasmania for Dissenters at Symmons Plains. Symmons plains is a great track with several long stretches allowing for the car to really be aired out. I dont believe there will be a sign up for any of the remaining races in the Stockcar series. It has not been nearly as popular as I had initially believed it would be. My opinion is that the Dissenter is scaring off what would otherwise be more dedicated Stockcar racers. A number of out usual drivers have decided to sit the series out and that has hurt numbers as well. The race on Sunday is going to be lighter than usual on the grid as half the typical attendees will be unable to take part. With any luck this will be the last race that will suffer this type of low attendance. In regards to the post on our site it has been added to the original post.
Up next is the Dissenter at Sonoma. This race will be a challenge, given all the sharp turns and altitude changes. THe server is up 24/7 so come join us on Sunday at 1600 GMT.
