The 2017 VRC EGT Fall Series VRC is proud to announce the 2017 VRC EGT Fall Series. The series will use the Excellent URD EGT Mod. EGT Mod must have been obtained by driver prior to registration. Mod will not be provided by VRC. This series will consist of 2 Pre-Season Races and 15 Points races. Highest 12 finishes will be scored Race Weekend will start at 16:35 GMT on Sundays. Races will be 45 minutes in length. Each driver is required to perform a mandatory pit stop, taking on 4 tires. The driver may choose when this pit stop happens. The pit stop does not include penalty stops. Allowed assists will be ABS, Traction Control, and Auto Clutch. Assists will be limited to level one (1) only, if used at all. All VRC Rules and Regulations will be enforced. Rules are subject to change at the discretion of VRC Administration. This means that each driver has 3 weeks in which he/she may take off without adversely effecting their overall points total. Otherwise the 3 least favorable races will be ignored among the 15 races of the series. Just because the series has begun does not mean that we are not interested in gaining new drivers. Longer season also means more opportunities. Also notice that we don't require you to participate in at least 12 races in order to sign up, we just hope that you can do at least half of the races and let us know your plans when signing up. The first Points race is in the books. We had a nice turnout at a difficult track (Outer loop B). There were some great battles throughout the race and everyone had a good time. The OP has been updated with the race results. There is still room on the grid if you are interested in joining us. Even if you can't make every race we still would love to have more drivers in the field. Imola is next and it should be an exciting race. Hope to see you there.
There is join server error massage: Package Not Available !!! Client can not not find info which version of Imola is used becourse client PC don`t download vmod and obviously get missing component is not working if server is using it when client don`t receive vmod . Try to fix this ASP it is not good when public server is setup like it is
Huh. I made a change to the server's name. I corrected a misspelling of the track name. I can't imagine that that caused the problem. As I write this there are five people on the server. It is possible that there is a mismatch on your end with your version of Imola? Unfortunately I am not at home so I can't check the server currently. We also did have one occurrence where a member had to reinstall the urd 2.0 version before they were able to connect.
The problem is that client can not download vmod from the server. It don`t mater if server don`t use Get Missing Component or if client has installed all components. Without vmod it is not possible to use mod manager to check which components are missing from that specific vmod in case server don`t have working Get Missing Component or is using pay mod. I host few servers by my self and can join server`s like ~ISR~, SR4L etc without any problems.
Ari, I was able to delete and then re-acquire the Vmod from our server. By any chance do you use Avast Anti-Virus? I have seen issues of the same error being caused by the fact that I also host our Teamspeak server on the same machine as our rF2 servers. Avast does not like the address used by the teamspeak service (teamspeak.raceplace.org) Avast is the only AV that appears to have this problem. If you disable your antivirus for a few minutes and then attempt to connect it may help. BTW, I am not suggesting you dont know what you are talking about. I am simply offering my observations on things that have caused this issue in the past for our other members, and the things that have fixed them.
I don`t use Avast but I did turn off my antivirus and firewall, rebooted my PC and I still get the same error massage. Perhaps you could look that vmod, all EGT cars and track are in packages folder?
Yes the URD EGT 2.0 cars and Imola are present on the server in the packages folder. In fact, the cars were taken directly from the DL link provided by Ales (email dated 07-05-16). I remember having the free corvette in the mod and that was causing problems when we first setup the original EGT server. Now I know what is wrong. When vmod is downloaded to packages folder rFactor 2 does not recognize VRC file as rfmod. I renamed downloaded VRC file as VRC EGT Fall Series Imola.rfmod and all is working fine. I can open vmod with the mod manager and I can see which components are included in VRC EGT Fall Series Imola.rfmod and I can join the server. I am not sure if this is a bug or if you create new mod package every time or if you are just editing existing mod package with the MAS Utility. I have experienced similar problem when I have edited existing mod package and to avoid this type of problem it is vise to create new mod package every time. I did go trough all the public servers in the lobby and there are few other servers which also seem to have same problem. It can happen that there has been loads of players who has tried to join VRC and are experiencing the same problem as I was. Perhaps you should file a bug rapport about this if you think that it is a bug?
