Hey guys, I have a question about the new Endurance Pack. While the Porsche and the C7R for example have great FFB, the Norma (and the Detroit GT aswell) has a lot of ratteling/vibration around the center using the same settings. Even when using same degrees or rotation and similar caster. Why is that and how to get around it?

It feels as if the car has a flatspot. Hence why I already tried it with "tire wear" - off ... didn't change anything. Was a wild guess, I admit.

    T300RS Profiler 100% constant, 100% periodic, 0 damper, 0 spring
Ingame 1.00 multi, 4% ffb min torque, ffb filter 0

I’ve had this with the gt3 cars too,I also have a t300,you notice it as soon as you leave the garage and are just on the driving down pit road,it gets worst at speed for me.

I could be wrong because I am not a specialist.

I think the minimum steering torque needs to be reduced.

It is normal that for some cars like ISI NASCAR for example, it is necessary to lower a little this value.

On my T500RS, the 2% value is perfect for 90% of cars. By putting this value at 1.9%, the problem is solved for 100% of cars (controller.ini file).

But maybe the problem is not related.

Sadly the vibration is still present without any steer tourque min. (0.0)

    So it can't be it.

It really feels like a flatspot in the tire... right from the begining when u turn on the engine.

I do not have this steering wheel.

But I'm pretty sure the ideal value is over 0.0.

after a few tests changes values i believe 0.0% is what i must use
the Iracing program gives me always different percentage so i set it to zero

Step test gives me between 0-2%

The ideal number for any wheel is zero, but obviously some won’t produce any forces then

I too had this vibration, but assumed I had a small flat spot. Vibration seemed to occur at higher speeds. TM TS-PC

Could it be a false calculation in the TGM? I'm really guessing here as I have no clue at all. And strangly enough it seems like no one else has this problem. Im' puzzled.

Would be nice if one of the s397 testers with a T300 could confirm this behavior.

    Hi Guys,

i heard this discussion before in the GP3 mod Thread, i think @patchedupdemon, had this problem? I have access to 3 T300 wheel from 2 friends with different OS versions and have not seen this issue in any of these wheels on any mod. I did mention in the GP3 thread that i would share my files so you can all test. I have uploaded my controller.json you will have to rename as forum don't support file type. and also my profile for game *road car t300.json. I have also uploaded my controller panel t300 gain settings and firmware version for you to see.

I use 0 smoothing and around 4-6% min force. i have also noticed an issue if your controller isn't set to the primary controller (ID 0) in windows controller panel then you can run into some issues. (if you have multiple controller connected).

the only thing i cans suggest is pehaps old firmware or wheel is faulty? i have had a faulty t300 before loosing calibration as but nothing like described problem above.

Than you Daniel, I just thought about updating the firmware. Will do that tomorrow and double-check the preferred controller setting.

I'm happy to hear that it works on your end. Looks like I just have to find the problem on my end then. Makes it a lot easier compared to wait for a game update. Cheers!

Edit: I will update this thread with news as they unfold...maybe I can help others.

no problem, any time. it is indeed weird considering 2 people have this now. Hopefully its a firmware thing because i will be out of ideas. unless game is running out of real time etc, input lag, or slow processor causing FFB to go out of high rate?? i know there is an option to run half rate FFB, could be something like that perhaps.

Hm...all possibilities. The inconsistency of the problem is the thing that lets me believe it must be something else. Always check the hardware first... so I'll update the firmware and hope for the best. Just to be safe I will set the max ffb range in the profiler to 82% for testing purpose. I have it set to 100%. Maybe some cars trigger the wheel to spaz out....

I wrote an email to thrustmaster in regards to FFB range in the controller, and they advise me not to use 100% as this puts huge strain and heat on the motors, they recommend 75% for wheel longevity. Ive actually turned my wheel Fan to run on always to avoid any overheating.

i would say this may be your problem

So it wasn't the overall ffb strenght. DL'ing the newest firmware now....let's see...

    EDIT: Wasn't the firmware either...
