    Hey,

I just want to know if it is possible to change my license from just "buy rFactor2" to "with rFactor 2 Lifetime Membership" later? So i just want to test rF2 now and maybe would upgrade to unlimited online access forever later...is that possible?

I've heard that you can pay the difference, but then again I can't find anything solid. I'd like to do the upgrade though, if I can.

You can pay the difference. Send a PM to Tim Wheatley and he'll take care of you.

Tim said he will sort it out by email whatever the circumstances, I believe him.

I suggest people take a screenshot of activation page with all details and send that too.

It has currency, amount, date, machine ID, ...... yadda yadda

My way of thinking we already had more then our 45 bucks worth, I think most thought as I did and we would be paying for online by now.

I am in no hurry to buy life as I am sure Tim will give us a heads up on any changes.

The amount of kms some people have done ! they deserve life. ..........................in a sanitarium. lopl

Never saw that comin' did ya. lol

WHOAH wait a minute. When I first got into this it was said just the difference needs to be paid. Now you guys tacking on another 10 bucks? Come on now ISI, I've been staunchly supporting this thing everywhere I go and is my number one raced sim. Even the SOLE motivation for me upgrading to NVIDIA.

WHOA wait a minute... it was said just the difference needs to be paid at least 18 months ago. Were you expecting it to stay the same?

WHOAH indeed. When did you first get into this? Did you upgrade at that time based on that information and financial amount you preferred when and where it was offered to you? And that info has only been posted on that link for a month or so.

If it was that important for you to have Lifetime you should: a) Make the decision to have it in the first place or b) do it when you were happy with the price to do so.

There's a fee because it's a time sink, for no extra income for the company (probably less, because over the lifetime of the product, a standard purchaser paying each year would bring more). We don't want to do it AT ALL. There's no guarantee we will allow upgrades forever for a certain monetary value, or AT ALL. Nobody has ever said otherwise.

I bought the lifetime licence in the first place, but what is it for?

The multiplayer section would be greyed out if I had not? (After 1st 18 months )

As above, there isn't one. There's no guarantee there will, or won't, or at all, be further changes or no changes on this option. My reply was to someone who assumed no change, ever, which is clearly incorrect.

The moral, clearly, is that if you are happy with the amount someone says it is to do something, do it.

Essentially, along with some planned additions that don't exist yet, if they come to pass.

Woah!!! it seemed to me they should have charged extra from the beginning but I was grateful when I upgraded mine in July and they only charged me the difference.
