Hello community. Some of my users in community were auto-update to build 1110, for this, we are to update our servers to this build because the drivers with 1110 can't enteer to the CMD server with 1109 version. I execute the command: steamcmd +login anonymous +force_install_dir ../rf2-cmd-b +app_update 400300 +quit My server is in: C:\Racing\rf2-cmd-b The installer is in: C:\Racing\Actualizar e Instalar The update seems ok, it log me C:\Racing\Actualizar e Instalar>steamcmd +login anonymous +force_install_dir ../ rf2-cmd-b +app_update 400300 +quit Redirecting stderr to 'C:\Racing\Actualizar e Instalar\logs\stderr.txt' [ 0%] Checking for available updates... [----] Verifying installation... Steam Console Client (c) Valve Corporation -- type 'quit' to exit -- Loading Steam API...OK. Connecting anonymously to Steam Public...Logged in OK Waiting for user info...OK Success! App '400300' already up to date. But whem I start the server, it show me the version 1109 I have also noticed, we now have 4 items "rFactor2 Dedicated.exe" We allways run the server with the item located in: C:\Racing\rf2-cmd-b\Bin64 And if we starts with the item located in: C:\Racing\rf2-cmd-b\steamapps\common\rFactor 2 Dedicated Server\Bin64 The server don't find any mod and don't starts. Whats happen? This wednesday we have a championship race, because this, we have a little urgence to solved the problem. Thanks in advance and greetings.
One more thing. The most serious problem is that now the server does not appear in the list of servers, neither with build 1109 nor with 1110, and this is a serious problem. Greetings.
It seems that you have launched the 32 and the 64 bits dedicated. I supose that both are using the same ports, and this can be the reason to not appear on the servers list. Close all your dedicated. Restart your windows and launch only one version (the default is the 64 bits)
I solved one of the problems. I Copied the new content of folder: C:\Racing\rf2-cmd-b\steamapps\common\rFactor 2 Dedicated Server In to the root folder: C:\Racing\rf2-cmd-b And now the server runs in 1110 version. Is it better to start the server from its new location and copy directories of packages, users and installations there? On the other hand, I restart Windows server for solucionate the ports problem, but still not seen in the client launcher server list
I suggest you add "validate" to that command line, like this: steamcmd +login anonymous +force_install_dir ../rf2-cmd-b +app_update 400300 validate +quit
Thank you very much, now it works perfectly. I just want to clarify a doubt now that we're on the subject. The next time I update the server, which is better. Option 1. As I have done now, move all the contents of the new folder: C:\Racing\rf2-cmd-b\steamapps\common\rFactor 2 Dedicated Server To the folder: C:\Racing\rf2-cmd-b Option 2. Move the necessary (directory of packages I suppose and some more) to the new location, to always start the server from the new directory. Thanks again.
