Uncleared Penalty during Practice

    Had a quick race weekend going to try the xbox 360 controller and got a penalty for speeding in pitlane during practice. i took the penalty but it still remained on the screen and was telling me i needed to pit in. even after escaping to the pits it still insisted on it.

    did the count-time apeared on the screen while you did the penalty?

    I dont know if you tried to "pay" the penality in the same stint you got it, and i dont remember if the bug is fixed, but an old issue was you have to pay the penality in the same stint you get it. IE, if you get a penality, go to pits, then go again on track trying to clear it, you cant ... well, i really am not sure it is a bug, but i assume yes.

    Works never had a problem ?

    You are doing something WRONG.

    You got a penalty in practice for leaving pits too soon so just don't.
    Watch the Marshall he waves you out.

    Or..... you are driving backwards too far in a single go.

    You need to have 2 buttons set.

    1. Pit request you will see blue tool icon top left screen when you press.
    Do not press early on lap but last turn or straight.

    2. PIT DISPLAY button this must be open when you pit as well.
    Open the pit display before you stop in your pitbox change STOP/GO to YES

    I can not serve a penalty no matter how many ways I try. I got a false start during my very first online race and although I entered the pits AND the car was held AND a 10 second counter counted down, I still got DQ'd.
    OK, so I go offline to replicate and figure out if it's operator error.

    When I pull up the pit menu before entering the pits (on the last corner as DD recommended) you might see the top item in the list is STOP/GO penalty, BUT it says NA, then completely disappears. So there's no way for me to choose it.
    I have tried requesting a pit and not requesting a pit, simply entering on my own
    I have brought up the menu before hitting pit request and after, no option.
    I have waited until the last corner to bring up the pit menu as the former poster suggested, no dice.
    I simply can't figure out how one serves a penalty. If the menu does not leave STOP /GO on the screen there is no way to choose it, either early or late.
    Help! Pretty please. :)

    Is it me or a bug?
