In MODDEV cars rTrainer. I try to change some values in TBC (tires) file, to create a new physic, but not make any difference in the car. E.g. Rolling resistence. Maybe some options are disable in this beta version?
we had the same problem! tyres are buggy! wrong temp, bad grip etc etc... waiting for an update... that will come in nothing less than6 months
Eh... TBC is only for AI. Users use new tire model, and file for this is tgm file. From TBC you use only rim size and starting temperature.
anyway, one thing really nice would be a first patch for tyres as we can go nowhere in building with such a bug, it could be a small patch, just to fix the T° bug, and by the way, the tyre inconstancy too inconstancy, seen in motec, several times, the tyre "goes" everywhere, no gum constancy, and with wrong T°, it's nothing easy... we don't even know if the basic tyre is a soft compound or something else... please, do something.. my 2cts...
I'd say "please, say something". Because I don't see any kind of help from them regarding physics/tires...
As ISI has stated since the beginning, this beta is about finding out how the packaging system works nothing more. Other than critical crash bugs everything else has low prio. Relax and take a breath in the mean time.
Pretty weak reply. The ISI track guys are helping for example, you can see plenty of replies on their sub-forum, so why not the physic guys?
Because physics guys are working on physics right now Read about therodynamic friction model and brush tire structure model, that will help you understand tgm file...and some knowledge about polymers and steel will be useful too Information about tire materials you can find in books, for geometry you should have real tire ot atleast good real cutaway and hi res pictures.
so 6 months for packaging... a bit long, but well, it's up to them! but 6 months for a small fix about tyre temp... that's real long! during this 6 months, we are on a kinda standby... and the best of it, is we that know how long it's gonna take... just a bit disapointed on this one
Hmm, no. For this first beta. With later updates they focus on other things I guess. Usually you like to check off building blocks one by one.
