I had my first go @ build 218 yesterday and i couldn't help but get frustrated when driving behind the AI cars. Every time they went into a corner and locked a wheel up they spit this dense cloud of smoke and virtually white out the entire corner so i cant see the track. I never noticed it in the previous builds, so i assume its new. It's a bit of a game breaker for me at the moment.
Well wait for later builds ............. or turn special effects down........ or race real people ..........or don't drive it. edit: You from Sydney, get in my historics server ..........and uninstall those clio and menage. p
I guess i was wondering, has anyone else noticed it? Or perhaps my graphics settings may have changed somewhere along the way.
Oh ya I have too ... totally unacceptable. And Durge... it ain't only AI that locks up tires, I have yet to be in a multy race without it looking like a pot smokout of the 60's.
This isn't a new problem with this build, it has been around a long time. It is a bit dense though isn't it, and sticks around for a very long time.
Yes, lockup smoke on AI is a bit ridiculous - when it happens (which is often), it happens to every car on that corner, and always a massive amount, and yet it never/hardly ever happens to me, never see it in my mirror. It needs to be fixed, it's over the top and doesn't match between AI & Human (makes it seem like you are in an entirely different car/tyres to the rest of the field). Not complaining, just confirming what I see for info of ISI.
it's not a beta... and yes the tire smoke denseness issue has been there since the very first build, mentioned a lot of times both in the bugs forum and wish list forum....so ISI should be fully aware of it
Im turning special effects down, I cant stand this anymore, enough is enough. Impossible to follow others in-race and if you are following more than one, smoke multiplies, you either overshoot or you brake early not to hit someone you dont see.
Yes this problem has been there forever. Some cars are worse than others. It would be nice to have the big issues affecting driving solved. Sometimes i feel likeif people from isi are putting their effort in the incorrect direction. I personally must say that the improvements in the last six months have been minimal in my opinion. I don't mind setting off effects to help that as long as it is going to be sorted, at the moment it is a effect killer
That's really weird because it never bothered me before and i vaguely remember liking the way the wheels locked and dropped a bit of smoke. I never remember it being as bad as it is now. I guess I'll turn the effects down and see how it goes.
This must be the 5th thread about this. Nobody likes it yet ISI dont make changes. Be better if there was no smoke at all imo.
another thing ISI need to add to the "force server option" along side rain spray....turning special effects off essentially becomes a cheat for online racing
Don't worry, I think it's better to have a reminder from time to time about these long standing issues. We don't want ISI to forget about them, or think that we no longer care.
