I have converted my track from rF1 into rF2 and all loads and works fine in rF2 but when I close the session it crashes rF2. I tested it on a server and when the last player leaves or when changing to next track server crashes as well.

So my questions are what can cause a track to crash when closing?
what file and section points the game to the close section?

    thx

I would at first look for AIW problem, even if you are using track only on multiplayer server.

    Cheers!

Thanks......The AI act correctly and the file seems ok...I'll have a play with it.

    Btw...

When you convert track from rF1, did you re-save aiw in rF2 dev mode?

I believe there are some differences between rF1 and rF2 aiw files, but simple re-saving with rF2 dev mode should do the trick.

    Cheers!

I have just done a test by getting an AIW file from a working track and put that in my track and game still crashed when closing. I then put my AIW in the working track and that track did not crash. So I don't believe it is the AIW file and I need to look else where.

It could be an Instance name or gmt name (or both) being to long. There seems to be a maximum character length, I think 32 or 33.

Have a look in your scn file for any long names.

It sounds almost like the game crashes when trying to save either the results or the replay, so try disabling replay recording and see if it still crashes. Are you getting complete session result files, or do they appear to be either missing or cut off?
