The default Megane cockpit view is looking upwards to the sky and not the horizon.

    Also the BT20.

It's as if the head is tilting backwards and looking up.

Everything is fine for me here. Can you post some pics up to show what you mean?

Looks fine for me too, might be worth checking the 'pitch' setting in the player file.

Well with the fresh new install everything is fine again.
It may have been an old ini controller file problem?

It's something to do with the ClubSport Wheel.JSON controller file.

Actually,it might not be the only controller file with this problem,I've had it in a saved file also now.

I loaded a different controller file, checked cockpit view and it was good.
Have done some races etc but now the view is plane spotting???

My 'saved' current controller file seems to get corrupted with this bug,no idea how?

That's pretty bloody weird man, I can't figure that out XD. If you have nailed it down to that, maybe open another bug thread so the devs can see it. Maybe others will chime in too.

I can't figure it out myself lol
Thought my original controller file got corrupted,so loaded the Clubsport Wheel controller, that was plane spotting.
So loaded the CSR Wheel controller, mapped pedals/buttons,that was good, not plane spotting.
Had a few practices, qualis and races last night, all fine.
Came to it today and plane spotting????

Have installed the realhead motion plugin and it corrects the view once loaded but this is a workaround not a fix.
Will have a play around tonight hopely, see if it's repeatable..............

    Still a problem in B860.

Load the Clubsport profile for the wheel and the eye view point is looking upwards to the sky.
Will get screenies when at pc

How much does it seem to be too high? Does it relate to the 'look up/down angle' in the player.json?

If it does, you could try assigning a key to 'look up' in case it has somehow picked up a different input.

Yup first thing I thought aswell. Maybe an axis or button linked to look up which is always activated or something. I'd definitly check those controls out if I were you mystamagoo

If I choose a different wheel profile it's fine, pretty sure it's not a button problem but will check.
I have also compared profiles but didn't see anything obvious.

The clubsport profile has the problem but the other fanatec profile does not so maybe
someone with better knowledge can find the culprit?

It gets a bit stranger.....and may be a button thing but no idea...?

So,cockpit is plane spotting, save the profile.
Load the fanatec profile cockpit view is normal.
Load my saved profile and cocpit view is normal?
    Load the clubsport profile,plane spotting.
Load my saved profile and back to plane spotting?

So I'm at a loss now as to what is going on......

Might help to find something that consistently gives you the incorrect view (whether it's like that immediately upon running rF2, or every single time you load a particular profile... whatever does it 100% of the time), then go back out and edit "Look Up/Down Angle":0.4, to 0.0 in your player.JSON. Then if you do the same thing and it looks right you've at least confirmed the look up is happening somehow. From there it may be a case of checking your 'corrupted' controller files against the originals, either by you, us, or the devs :)

    Both so far.
If I load the xbox profile the cockpit view is looking out the left window, moving the wheel alters the view correspondingly.
Load a saved profile and the cockpit view is the same as the xbox view.

So it seems the 'view' is not totally controlled by the profile?
The clubsport profile consistently plane spots.

will try the look up now........

    Indeed it is button related.
Changed the look up as suggested in player.json to 0,load the clubsport profile and no planes :)
deleted the look up mapping in the clubsport profile and saved it.
reverted the look up in player.json, loaded saved/altered clubsport profile and no planes.
    (Thanks Lazza)

How come a 'view' can be carried over to a different profile though, that is the question?
