bodnar V2 simsteering I'm almost finished a decent .Json file for the bodnar simsteering Forces all now present with balanced & some subtle forces Only thing I can't seem to control is the tire flat spot effect which is a nice feature , without ffb being set high if tires are flat spotted my ffb wheel almost shakes my house down Any way to reduce/control this ??? Be good if there was a line in the .Json file as there is for curb effects etc --------------- I know this is a different request but be great if there were a few sliders : Interia effect Suspension amount Tire flat spot effect Brake amount Accelerate amount Curb effect Impact amount Skid ffb reduction amount Cheers
Yes I know There are things in .Json file that effect most of these things My bodnar system really seems to amplify the flat spot vibration
You seem to misunderstand how rF2's FFB works. All the parameters in json directly transform FFB signal with a post processing algorithm. You can introduce scaling, damping, filter, adjust sensitivity, override dead zone... All those affect the whole original physical steering shaft torque output into a % of FFB. It doesn't distinguish on any of the parameters you have mentioned. The second best thing you could do is to increase FFB smoothing or dampings to reduce the vibration. The best thing would be to avoid provoking flatspots. Real F1 drivers need to change tires after a severe flatspot because they cannot even focus their eyes in a single point.
