I race with both these leagues. great group of guys, clean respectful drivers, lots of side by side racing and close finishes, we've even run races green to checker'ed without a caution. We have a mix of experienced drivers from 15+ yrs online racing to just a few months and run mostly ovals tracks but have been known to turn right once in a while. Check out the Wednesday Ironman series with the tire rule (4 on the car/8 in pits, 107 lap race 1x tires/2x fuel), gotta be able to manage the tires over the long run and lots of various pit strategies. It's fixed setup (not default ) so you don't need to be a setup specialist, just hop in the car and run some practice before the race. Thursday nights with SimHQ Motorsports has been our most competitive league with the open setups, but don't worry, guys always share setups and are willing to help with driving tips per each track. We run a points series here, usually best 10- of 12 race results to determine champion (gives ya a chance to miss one or 2 as we all have a life outside online racing) and have had some very competitive seasons. Mostly it's all for fun, come on out and join us, the more the merrier, we require you to be on teamspeak you don't need to talk, but must be able to hear other drivers and the drivers meeting. Hi All I race here with these leagues. They are a great group of clean/respectful drivers, lots of experience, we have been racing for 15+ years from Nascar 2003 to Rfactor Stockcar Evolution to Rfactor 2 Stockcars. We have a mix of drivers from season veterans to rookie drivers. We have 3 leagues running races right now; StockCarSimRacing/Ironman Wednesdays. Great league we run 107 lap races every Wednesday night at 9 pm EDT, races are fixed setup (not default ) with 2x fuel/1x tires and a tire rule- 4 on car/8 in pits. This usually makes for some great green flag runs, pit strageties and close finishes. You have to be able to manage the tires over the fuel run, most races have at least 4 pit stops, so you will have to decide when to put new tires on and how many 2 or 4. We have run races green to checker'd without a caution, great side by side racing, good clean drivers. StockCarSimRacing/SimHQ Motorsports Another great league, currently most popular with the guys. Open setup 100 lap races, with 1x/1x fuel/tires and 100% damage. Don't worry guys always share setups and driving tips. Good clean racing, I have also seen this series run green to checker'd without a caution, some guys try to make it on 1 stop others try 2, you'd be surprised how close those finishes can get. Lots of side by side racing throughout the pack, good fun, great league. StockCarSimRacing/HORL Fridays This is our starter/rookie league. We usually run fixed setups with 2x fuel/1x tires and damage at 50%. Our format consist of 3 races starting at 9 pm EDT, 2 short 20-30 lap races. 1st one we qualify, 2nd we invert the field, 3rd race 50-70 laps, a points race, start is determined by average finish in first 2 races. We have lots of experienced drivers on hand willing give help from driving tips to setups to general Rfactor2 Stockcars questions. Great fun and if you miss or have trouble in the first 2 races, its not a long wait to race again. Teamspeak is Required for Wednesday/Thursday nights Addy is: 71.65.217.117:9988 pw = scsr. You don't need a mic but must be able to hear the other drivers and the driver's meeting. Teamspeak is not mandatory for the first 2 races Friday nights (highly recommended) but is required for the longer 3rd race. Come out and join us for some fun races, everyone is welcome.
