If we do get stock car and some ovals, this can be all round sim! (and I can retire Nascar 2003). There are hard core SC modders around and they haven't stepped into rF2 because of contact patch, tools, and certain mod parts continually changing.

I know there are those with argument concerning oval track rules and protocols, "there not in place yet so whats the point of the cars". Well you have to start somewhere.
Personally I'm excited and have waited 2 or 3 years for this.

Do you guys believe more modders will be drawn to rF2 once the tires get sorted?

Oval racing had some difficulties. There would be a far less obvious reason for them to avoid once it's in.

Back on the subject of tracks: We do have Indy, and will get (sooner or later, not mentioned yet :p ) Mountain Peak, and Jacksonville. But are you going to do Joesville as well??? I know it has been (don't know if it still is) in the Devkit, and I wonder if it will get into the game as well. Would be nice with some slower cars (thinking of Clio's for instance, or Skip Barber). Don't know if realistic, but I'm pretty sure I would like that, just as I did in rF1!!!

We have plenty of road courses, we'll have a superspeedway, a 1.5 miler, so all that's really missing is a proper high-level short track. A half-to-three-quarter mile track would fit the bill well, and that might tie in with Richmond appearing on the test servers. A track that in the real world has hosted both series' (IndyCar, too).

Joesville would be awesome if modders brought us street stocks or legends, though :)

Richmond / Iowa style oval for the super fast under one mile short track, Auto Club / Michigan for the large 2 mile bad ass fast track, blammo, all of the bases are covered. (Plus if you go Iowa style for the short oval, it will be hugely popular in both the stock cars and Indycars (slight bias as an Iowan, but people love that track for a reason), not to mention both those tracks make a premier stage for real road to show what could make rF2 oval racing superior)

Surely you have more important thoughts for the day. :)
(hint, it's not supposed to be a perfect similar replica)

    I couldn't resist.

    It will still go fast.

Atlanta, Dover and Charlotte is all I'd need. I doubt my PC could render Bristol.

And Sonoma and Montreal, of course. ;)

I mean, come on! Look at that cool vibe.

Palm trees... Blue sky... Colorful super cool stock cars.
I can't ask for any more than this.

    Beautiful!

Too bad they don't use real stock cars with only safety equipment installed!
