What just happened to rFactor2? It's gone from being the best handling sim with best FFB, to totally undriveable, for me anyway. The FFB does not reflect the grip in the car any more basically rendering the game unplayable. I did a clean install but the problem is still there. I also tried going back to the previous version but it made no difference. Help! I'm using a G920 by the way.
Hardware?(wheelbase) I have noticed very little ffb change, I have appreciated the feel of the new tires on the GT3 cars, but ruined FFB? Not feeling it. (I wonder if you are missing other audio clues that may be affecting how you perceive the ffb due to the new sound files, tire scrub is rather weak compared to previous iterations.)
Check your controller.json "Steering Rate Factor": needs to be set to 1 Could've just asked instead of formatting your PC
Also noticed that the FFB from a few GT3 I tried... felt pretty 'dead'... to the point I thought there was an issue... and reset everything to default... But the FFB was still very anemic... To test if this was true for every content... I tried... the Aston GTE... And... the FFB was very good and dynamic... got back to the GT3... and FFB felt dead... So it might come from the car/setup... you tried @Glygoo If you can... try the Aston GTE and the GT3... back to back... if you see a huge difference... it might, at least, reassure you... that everything is fine with your install...
Thanks for the tip but it didn't solve the issue. It feels like the rear wheels are steering, really weird.
What are your wheel driver settings? Damping / Spring / etc. rF2 may utilize these effects a bit differently / change with an update. I've seen cases in rF2 where the Spring setting can significantly impact ffb, may be worth exploring.
I have no FFB problems and i didn't know this. I had this parameter at 0.5 and i have changed it to 1 after reading this. I'll see if i feel any difference.
I haven't checked myself, but Devin indicated this would be fixed during the RC phase. He also indicated it wasn't what it seemed, though I'm not sure what that meant...
