    Hi all.

I've just logged into rFactor 2 and installed the latest update. I receive an error message:

"Core component Scripts v3 is missing, invalid or damaged. Unable to continue, Please reinstall rFactor 2"

Has this happened/been happening to anyone else? Very annoyed as I constantly keep my system up to date and log in every few days and cut some laps.

I have all my packaged mods so can reinstall them but surely I don't have to uninstall the whole program and reinstall?

    Please help - Trent.

Try verifying rF2 files through steam.

    Is that error message exact?

    Yes - exact message.

The launcher works fine from Steam - the content then updates no problem and then also steam workshop sync works fine as well.
Then when I hit single player like I normally would I get the following message popup in the middle of screen which has this exact message"

Core component Scripts v3 is missing, invalid or damaged. Unable to continue, Please reinstall rFactor 2

Mate - you're a genius. I verified the files and 1 was missing (how that happened I have no idea) but reinstalled that one file and it's working again. Thanks for your help!

    Check the Folder "..\rFactor 2\Core\Scripts".
That should only contain 4 pit... mas Files and 1 scripts.mft File.
Open the mft File with a Text Editor and Check the Version Number.
If it is 3, delete all Files in the Scripts Folder and let Steam verify the Installation.
You should get the original Game Files reinstalled then.
Check also the Folder "..\rFactor 2\Installed".
    Is there a Subfolder "Scripts"?
    If yes, delete it too.
    Does that help?

Thank you. I was informed previous to this to verify the files in steam. It actually showed 1 was missing and then proceeded to download it automatically and the program ran properly again after that.

    Thanks for your help... Trent.
