I have tried verifying files in steam.
Reinstall all 4 files in the Support\Runtimes folder (Run each one, select repair or install). After that, do the same with the x64 and x86 from this page: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist
just tried re installing all these and rebooted, but still crashing to desktop without giving any errors.
tried renaming my player folder, and that worked... but how do I then identify what is corrupted? or how do I rebuild my player folder without starting all over?
Solved... I narrowed it down to find an error in my player folder, in the file "CustomPluginVariables.JSON" when replaced this (with a new file from an autogenerated player folder) into my old player folder it worked again.
