I made a car skin for rf2; just using the template for the body, not tyres, helmet, windows etc.. just the body of the car.
I saved it with the name alt_newcar.dds

When i try it offline it works. When i try it online it works for me but others see it all white.

    1. Is the filename newcar.dds ok? or it needs the car number as well?

    2. As using a single file do I need to use the mas_tool?

    3. Is it necessary to add a new ai for this to work? and then fill the fields like name, team, description and number of car. (in tuning)

    Thank Jeffrey

Hey! So, you have created the directory in the tuning tab and then placed the skin there, right?

The name is right, no numbers are needed, mine for example is "alt_krustijr".

Is not necessary to add a new ai, but you can do it if you want, is a plus.

When you enter the server, do you see a little square box near your nickname in the standing?

Yes created that folder for the car when in tuning.
So the filename can by practically anything and there is no need for the word 'alt' to be included.

Will check about the little square box.

if users have this option off will be able to download skins?

As far i know the skin requires the word alt in the name.

The option must be ON to auto-download & upload skins, if is set to off you need to do it manually by pressing the button "skin transfer" once you are on the server :)
