    Hi guys,

Following a youtube tutorial on how to set up rf2 for vr, I have installed Tappi's settings widget.

I have no complaints with it, and it did help me to get some vr action with the varjo aero that got here last week, but since it has been installed the game won't start from steam or the app itself.

    Is that normal?

    Thanks in advance,

    F.

It seems that @tappi is here.
    Maybe he can help.

Certainly not normal. Does it simply not launch when you click Play? I'm a Pico user, so launch via Virtual Desktop, but I do have the widget and have no issues.
I don't think the widget should intefere, as it is a standalone launcher. Shouldn't mess with the base game.
How are you trying to launch? With the widget closed, does it still not launch via Steam? What about in pancake mode? Have you tried verifying the game files?

Thanks for your reply! I have tried to start the game both in normal (monitor) and vr mode from steam and it won't start. I have tried to start the exe directly and it won't start. It only starts from the widget. Pardon my ignorance but I dont know what pancake mode is... :)

    That's rather odd.

Pancake mode is monitor mode, so you've tried that.

Have you tried verifying the game files? I have been surprised to find that works, in the past.

The only other thing I can think of is to try uninstalling the widget and seeing if things go back to normal.

The widget developer responds to messages, in my experience. So you could try asking him.

Thanks! I will try uninstalling, the settings can be saved to a file... I also have a feeling that the widget, as useful as it is, doesn't play nice with openxr. The game becomes very unstable under openxr.

Hi guys, I've been using the widget for a while now in VR but I seem to have a problem with the display screen on my monitor. It's always blacked out. Is this normal?

I use crew chief VR overlay so I can use the virtual desktop while in game
but when I use it it just comes up as a black screen like my monit
    or.

I use the widget, and I use openxr, I've not encountered any ill effect.
