I recently received 4x buttkicker mini lfe's to try out Simexperience's new simvibe software in chassis mode. A good buddy gave me his older A/V amp (pioneer sx-316) to try it (or fry it). However, the amp is hardwired to cut all low frequencies on all channels except the subwoofer due to the fact it shipped with tiny speakers (home theatre in a box). There's no option to fix this.. So... Any ideas on a 4 or 5 channel 4-ohm capable amp to push these? The only one i've found so far is the Behringer EPQ-304 but it's only 75wrms per channel, and to be honest, seems like junk. I'd like to TRY to keep the price below $300usd if possible... Anyone?
I'm using two of these AudioSource stereo amps. They're 60 watts per channel into 4 ohms. I'd say they're adequate at best. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00026BQJ6/ref=oh_details_o03_s01_i00
I'm going to return the AudioSource amps I bought. I just ordered an ART SLA4. Four channel, 140 watts/channel into 4 ohms. Should be more than adequate, and cost $333. http://artproaudio.com/art_products/studio_amplifiers/product/sla4/
