What would have been nice is a simple track builder. Maybe using pre determined curve types - like putting together a digital scale trick circuit. Would have been good for creating fictional and min-fictional circuits. Not everyone can get their heads around professional track building software like Blender!
Sounds like Bobs Track Builder is what you're looking for. Not quite 'snap together' like scale electric, but as simple as you will find for this purpose.
Yep, I did try bobs track builder. I made a sort of circuit... But even that has a steep learning curve - and I think it's only compatible with Rf1, and not Rf2.
Yeah, probably not going to happen. Elements to make slot car circuits will always look like slot car circuits and you still have to make the AIW and place cameras. It is possible to convert an rF1 track to rF2 using 3DSimed.
Bob's Track builder was designed to work with rF1. I don't know if it was ever updated to rF2. If not, you would still have to use something like 3dsimed to convert the output from the rF1 format to rF2.
