One of the best things about the DX11 beta is that it's giving a spotlight to the underappreciated Howstons. The G4 is pretty much the best car in this or any other sim. Just had an amazing race at Rouen-Les-Essarts. With an H-shifter and auto clutch off, it's just so satisfying to drive. Thanks to 397 for keeping this great sim going.
Totally agree! I drove a few laps at Atlanta Motorsports Park, with maybe 4s per lap full throttle, the rest of the lap was a continuous fest of throttle-balancing/braking/counter steering, etc.
Raced with these in VR at Monza 10k last week, immense experience. A great car to throw around and sounds great to.
Howston, McHowston, Chapahowston, Forston, Ferraston, LolaT260ston..... hint hint....Panzerston, Shadhowston, Marchowston hint...hint...
I wish they would fix up the mirror so it reflects an image from all views and not just the cockpit cams, same with the gauges, they only work from the driving cams.
LM-related Alt Skins for Howston G4 1967 and Howston G6 1967 (unzip to the appropriate loose alt skin directories). These are just cut-down versions of my bigger independent skin packs for these cars, featuring mostly only the more iconic/interesting liveries. These were made for the 1.3 version. I can only assume they work with the new G4/G6 dx11 update, but I honestly haven't checked (feedback welcome in the thread). The textures should be within the albedo range and work with dx11. I've been trying to work within that range since rF2 was released. Since these are just loose skins in individual mas files, they should also work with online racing. Both of the full skin packs will be updated to roughly coincide with the Le Grand Circuit 1967 release
