Agreed, it's a damn shame that Spaskis has felt he need to do this thanks to a vocal minority. Maybe there is a case for some proactive moderating on this forum...Funny I have been saying exactly the same on another forum
No one here has bagged the quality all I see are compliments and appreciation. They may have bagged the download process & rightly so. Not everyone uses torrents and nor should they have to download a zillion tracks to get to this one. Strange...
Kiddin' right. Not one of his tracks were in it and they are all bloody fantastic to drive. People warned others, not everyone reacts the same, it is not water off a ducks back for some ............our loss. Torrents are like rF2 mod system, both have drawbacks but advantages outweigh them. You do not have to download all the tracks in torrent. Abriel got tired of telling people every page of thread ....you UNSELECT ALL then SELECT the ones you want. You say it is better to download individually from mediafire make them money or get from sim sites some with the bum out of their pants trying to pay for bandwidth rather then giving back a bit of speed to the community through a torrent. That is your prerogative.
What a fantastic update (v1.24)!!! I would have never seen it if I hadn't just clicked on the new "Third Party Mods" button on the menu above. Why no mention of it here????
I was not sure if it could be posted in both places. I think I read in the third party database rules, that nothing already in this forum should be put there. Maybe it is worth better explaining... I am glad you like it. I already have a new version ready where you dont get caught by orange reflectors in guards. Please find attached v 1.27: http://www.racerfactor.com/descargas/Rfactor2/Circuitos/SalemValley_1.27.rfcmp - AIW corrected for spots and improved AI ast path which is quite well IMO. - Kerbs corrected. Height was non unfiorm. Soem were flipped 180 degrees. - Texture form the grid rotated 180 deg. It was wrong in the back of the grid. - Orange reflectors in guards are not collidable any more - File size adjusted removing some unnecessary textures. Enjoy
Thanks a lot for updating again. Gets better each time. Updates are a nice surprise! *I was playing back a replay on this new version, when it suddenly dawned on me that camera work on this track is noteworthy. Seems to me you have real good camera panning catching larger parts of corners than most. It is the bigger movement of cameras following the cars on corners that is really enjoyable during replays. (well of course, the track itself).
