Hi did a search, showed no results for this so I hope I am not wrong, but I get into Multiplayer but it crashes, I get this error Runtime Error! Program:\Program Files\rFactor2\Core\rfactor2.exe This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more info Tried 3 times to join a game and it crashed each time, I am able to play single player ok, although I have had random crashes, but not seen the runtime warning with those, I have updated my ATI drivers to latest ect, I'm far from an expert so dont have any idea what it means, so if you could point me in a direction of how I can fix it, it would help PC specs:- CPU: AMD Phenom x4 955 3.2Ghz | GPU: MSI HD R6850 Cyclone 1GB GDDR5 Power Edition| MOBO: MSI 790GX-G65 | RAM: Kingston 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz HyperX Memory | PSU: Xenta 800W Modular 13.5cm Fan | OS: Win7 Ult x32 SP1 | Wheel: Logitech DFP wheel/pedals | Monitor: SyncMaster 22" LCD 1680x1050 60Hz | Corsair 128GB SSD 2.5" SATA-II boot drive

Hi, I had this error, online when there is more than 20 clients. I have 3gb ram, could it be related to that? Also had read somewhere on this forum (canĀ“t find it again) that there are some of this problems related to some wheels. Mine is a Thusmarter F430. Any thing that I could try to avoi it? Regards
Hey Plebre, I have the same problem When I try to load a grid of 20 cars and after the loading screen the game crashes. If I play online as soon as there are around 20 cars game crashes... I have no problem with 10 cars grid and fps seems fine... I have 3 gig of ram aswell... How can I solve this problem?
I just had a runtime error as well. I was in a server that was in race and I was waiting. When the race finished the server admin clicked it over to load next track. It loaded the next track and when I got in it had gone straight to race.......except everyone else was seeing practice (we were in TS).....then the game crashed with a Runtime error. I loaded up again and went straight in to the practice session. Not sure if the glitch that made it show race caused the Runtime error or the other way round.
I think it may be related to the amount of vehicles, tried to play on line last night, and was ok on track but when went back to chat/menu screen it crashed, did this a number of times, seemed ok when there was only 15 vehicles in but when it went over 20 the problem started
Just a thought guys that MAY have worked for someone else, still testing. Make sure your Anti Virus is configured to "exclude" the rFactor2 directory and its sub directories from any "realtime" scanning. ANd before anyone asks...figure that out for your own software
Had the same problem trying to load a track I'm making. And not converted as I'm redoing it. Not exactly sure what the problem is, I hope it will get fixed in the next update as I would like to test the banking of it before I go any further. Also, when I load the track in Developer mode, it will load the whole track but when it gets to where I can actually race the track, it shows the car sitting on the track in the top right corner for about half a second then disappears and then freezes and this Runtime Error comes up. I have the same problem: with 10 cars no problem, with 20 cars crash. I have done some test: - With Opponent Detail to full I can't even exit the pit before the crash - With Opponent Detail to medium I can exit the pit and do 1 or more lap before the crash (if ever) Also I've noticed that the up-left bar (that you can enable with Ctrl-F) become completely white just before the crash. I don't know what this bar represents.
Many of you (especially the 32bit O/S users) are probably running out of memory. I too can repeat the runtime error crash when rF2 memory usage + my VRAM usage hits 2GB. I'm afraid with the advent of 1GB+ vid cards it really is time to go to a 64bit O/S.
trying it, but still does'nt explain how i cant even start the game now, where as I used to be able to run everything except higher fields of cars, but get the issue without it starting the game now
