I know I should really join a 3ds max forum but thought I might aswell ask here first as you will have a better idea of my problem.

Basically, after applying a spline map my road texture is squashed/stretched in places lengthwise. Is there a quick and easy way to evenly space the U/V's?

Easiest way is probable to use UVW xform modifier.

Select your track surface polys, apply UVW xform modifier and adjust U- and V - tile to achieve wanted result.

Remember to adjust all used mapping channels, not just channel 1 (diffuse map). ;)

That doesn't work in turns, unless you just map a one long straightaway and then start to bend it afterwards. At least I was never able to work it out. So, you just want to have spline/loft with correct UV coordinates.
