Hi I've noticed when you enable road reflections, you get a build up of what looks like white patches on the road in the distance, sorry it's the only way i can describe it,and it looks more dramatic in game than in the screenshot. View attachment 2725 sorry it's not very clear in the screenshot but it's the best i could do,is this normal behaviour with road reflections enabled.
That is meant to be there, it's simulating how a hot road often has reflective spots in the distance due to the rising warm air. =)
Thankyou for your answer ,but this is not how it looks, this is just White patches forming on the road, infact i've turned it of because it's quite off putting.
In reality it reflects environment: driver can see reflection of env ahead of reflected area. it may be sky or trees, depending on objects to road distance.
Please, look at it a bit better.. At Mills Metro park circuit you'll see that when other cars in front of you (especially when driving through a dip in the road) are reflecting in the road.. So it IS the mirage effect..
Well i'm afraid i have to disagree,it looks nothing like a mirage effect, like i said in my first post the screenshot does not quite show how it looks in the running game, imo somethings over done. Not only that this is at spa and just about to rain,so i think perhaps alittle cooler than Mills Metro park, i don't know really, but i know what i see looks nothing like a mirage.
Yes sorry, but you didn't say it wasn't working properly either So your saying this is normal behaviour atm.Thats all i want know,i don't want to be thinking i have a hardware issue.
Nothing wrong with your hardware, we all get the same, its a cool idea, but just needs a bit more work...as it should look like water and be very reflective, but then again, this is a work in progress still
ACH, mirage! That's the word I was looking for! Would have saved me a lot of bother with my initial response. That's what I get for not being a native English speaker, sometimes I just forget the darn words. =)
@ SimonV6, thankyou that is really the answer i was looking for. @jubuttib, there is nothing wrong with your english,it is perfectly fine.
Oh I know that, that much is obvious. But at times it does present some problems, like the aforementioned inability to remember basic words. Though when I think about it, the same thing happens to me quite often even when using my native language... =)
I didn't realise English wasn't your native tongue. You speak better than most native English speakers!
