I have just downloaded rFactor 2 and KartSim - every time I launch (both single player and multiplayer) I get to choose the settings and click race, the loading screen appears and once loaded it goes to the garage and immediately crashes, returning to the rFactor launch window. I have searched and searched online for help, I have until 10pm BST to qualify for next weeks race so I am up against it, any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
Thanks for your response. Yes I believe it is the graphics card unfortunately. I only have an Intel HD Graphics 620 how do I find out the GDDR? it’s got 5.0 pixel shader 5.0 vertex shader 2.0GB dedicated video RAM. I’m running i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50Ghz which apparently meets the min req. 8gb RAM plenty of free disk space sound card is good too.
Laptop? If you can, just load rF2 without kartsim. choose private practice. 0 AI. If that works, exit rF2 completely. At least for testing, exit steam and completely restart your computer. Then load steam and kartsim. again choose private practice. If you can race solo, add a few cars til it crashes. if you cannot race vs at least 20, then I'd agree your video system can't handle the textures used these days due to lack of memory.
