Few days ago I asked one of our talented SimHQ coding racers if he had any luck creating a vmod/rfmod. He commented he hadn't tried it yet. After a couple of days (and several hours of learning time!) Ahmad sent back a working file. You can read his comments and suggestions here. Fact there are a very few GT and Mid-Ohio rfmod's on multiplayer servers is a statement in itself. Reading Gjon's comments in this thread is encouraging. Thanks Gjon! So, if you would like the rfmod Ahmad created to use on your server, download it from here. Yes, I did ask him first if it would be okay before posting here. You're welcome to join us on the SimHQ Motorsports X rFactor 2 Beta server to try out the rfmod. We are currently running the 370z cars (SteveGee and I are still working on getting a set of custom skins to work with it!). You will of course need the VLM_Mid-Ohio rFactor 2 track and the ISI GT World Endurance rfmod already installed. Server: SimHQ Motorsports X Password: wecTEST Thanks again, Ahmad!
Nice! Will try it now. EDIT: Works perfectly! I also agree with Ahmad, the whole process of distributing and installing a mod (not component) is much easier now for end users. But on the other end, nightmares for modders and server admins.
