v1.4.1.4 available rFactor2 Weather Tool 1.4.1.4 - A checkbox allow you to only show the installed locations. Woodee : as the Weather.xml is already hosted online for community updates, i don't know if an inApp download is really usefull.
I'm only now using the Weather Tool, latest download. Figured out the install location, figured out the .wet files, etc. and I like it! The only problem I've noticed is that I can't select different dates for the Practice, Qualify, Race sessions. If I set a date on one, it forces it to the same date on the other sessions... is that a bug or a feature I don't understand?
Any thoughts on the recent suggestions I made Gerald? My league server is making good use of your weather tool. I have split 10 mins races into 30 segments and we get drizzle and a little rain on one side of spa and the other side is dry
Hello Woodee. I will work on "apply wheather to multiples track at once" soon. And cool for the 30 segment and specialy to the wet/dry part.
I will have to do some more testing to make sure the weather is the same as what is programmed and I will maybe make some videos of this. Thanks for your invaluable weather tool Gerald.
v1.5.0.0 available rFactor2 Weather Tool 1.5.0.0 Add the possibility to save the weather to several track with the save button. Check all desired tracks in the combobox just on top of the "Save" button.
Good stuff! Although I think it is saving the weather from the track chosen to the ones checked in the save in part not separate weather. The Circuit box up the top should be a combobox with checkmarks so it should collect weather for each circuit individually and then save to the exact same ones.
I don't know if it has been reported but the starting times are not correctly updated in the plr file. It uses practice starting time for all sessions. The wet file is OK. BTW can somebody explain why rF2 uses time scale both in wet files and plr files? Start time and duration are defined for all sessions in the plr? No time scale is defined when completing the chart and therefore I just can't see the necessity to keep them in the wet file except for causing confusion. What happens when they don't match? Wouldn't it be just easier to use 0%, 25%, 50% 75% and 100%? Probably it would be too easy... I guess it is a good mental exercise also turning time into minutes (720=noon). Fortunately for me I use the 1440 minutes per day factor.
Thank you very much Gerald. Is it possible to launch the program with command line parameters, to automate the changes of the wheater? I've taken a look to the thread, and i haven't found anything. In case of being possible, it would be easy to automate the process, closing the rF2 server, programming the new wheather and opening the server again.
