I've added Zandvoort 2014 from the "tired of ugly tracks" thread... brilliant stuff. I'm mostly fine with adding anything halfway-legal and mostly up to rf2 standards as long as the stuff is properly named and has good gdb entries. Cheers, Uwe
Missing: Corvette_C6_Coupe Corvette_C6_Z06 Corvette_C6_ZR1 and ZR1 PDE is invalid, ZR1_PDE is correct and exists in the list also.
Nordschleife 24h layout has been added and is now being used for the track promotion... have fun! Uwe
Hi folks, I've updated the create_file.py Python script to only include the trackstats entries in the generated career.blt file. This should speed up the upload process by several orders of magnitude, depending on the number of CCH files in your userdata/player directory. Cheers, Uwe EDIT: The new script will also do some rudimentary error checking and display some stats when it finishes. EDIT2: I just added the R/C cars and the LRP R/C course to the ranks, so start uploading ;-)
Thanks to matf1 for pointing out a bug in the new create_file.py Python script, it should be fixed now (download link is available on the site again). Cheers, Uwe
I just removed Cosimos indycar laptime @ the Nordschleife 24h layout, at 2m06s it's obviously a warp. Cheers, Uwe
This can happen if you take the shortcut twice in a row While I am here, any chance we could get Mountain Peak speedway added, at least the road course?
New World Records New CLASS world record at BIRMINGHAM_MP_LONG in the FR3.5_2014. New OVERALL world record at DAYTONA_SCES in the FR3.5_2014. New OVERALL world record at BRIANZA_MODERN_SCES in the FR3.5_2014. SCES Tracks have been added cheers, Uwe
Hi, I'm having problem with the SparkF1. Trying to improve my Beta-rank time, i have a time of 3.44,8 at Spa i did a long time ago. Yesterday i drove a 3.37 but it's obviously not the same Spark-F1. The one i drove before (3.44) is listed as "ISI Historic F1/Spark F1". The one i did now (3.37) is listed as "Historics/Spark F1". I recently installed rfactor2 again, and i can't find any other Spark F1 than the one i have now? Should i download another Historic F1 carset? If so, where? Thanks for a great site Uwe, i practically lived on the old GPLrank /Thomas.
Yep, that's probably the problem right there. We really need to overhaul the "beta rank" to include the new class names and proper reference times. Any volunteers? Cheers, Uwe
I can have a look. Don't really know what"proper" reference times would be though. One way to do it is using the AI at a certain skill percent, or just guesstimate from my own times? In my view a reference time should be easy to beat for an alien, but require quite a bit of practise for us mere mortals... so that going negative is a "yes, did it" feeling. I also like when the reference times are nice and rounded. Like the 1.50 at Malaysia, instead of for example 1.49,842.
Ok, here goes. Malaysia GP FR3.5 01:50.000 (This is using the 2010 version of the FR3.5, it's still available at the official download site. So either keep or switch to the newer 2014 version (Called "Formula Renault / FR3.5_2014"). The benchmark time is fine for the 2010 version. The 2014 is a couple of seconds faster. Portugal GP Course FR3.5 01:42.000 (Same thing with the car. If keeping the 2010 version, i'd recommend a benchmark of 1.30. With the 2014 version maybe a 1.28) Belgium Grand Prix 1967 Spark F1 03:28.100 (This is using the "ISI Historics F1 / Spark F1" version. It's not available at the official rfactor 2 download site. The "Historic / Spark_F1" is though. Since i can't test the old one i don't know if the new is faster or slower? Don't think there's much difference though. I reccomend a benchmark of 3.30-3.35 (depending on how cruel you want to be ) Monaco GP 1966 Spark_F2 01:32.500 (This is actually the same Spark_F2 strangely, and the benchmark is ok. So nothing to do here... move along. Mills Inner Loop C Megane Trophy 01:07.000 (All good here) Malaysia North Loop Megane Trophy 01:04.500 (All good here too) Hope it helps, /Thomas.
