Hi You do not have the opportunity to automation with the additions of tracks and cars, and after adding the files? It'll let you work on something else.
Can somebody tell me the longford short name that comes up as "unknown"? Thanks! I'd rather not automate the process of changing stuff in the database, but I'm always looking for volunteers who want to help with adding new stuff (not just any new stuff, but stuff of a certain quality and longevity). Uwe
I've changed the EVE F3 to EVE_F3 now, but I'm still wondering what the official name from the current mod is... Cheers, Uwe EDIT: I think the EVE F3 is the new name which we should use, could you edit your cch file to use the new class name? uwe
Hey Uwe, Yep Longford is working fine. It seems the Eve F3 and F2 are not. I'm not sure about F1 or Spark as I have no entries for them. Thanks for the update. Edit: Eve F3 only works when renaming cch. I just checked again and with the latest multicmp 1.49 it's definitely Eve_F3
Thanks for testing! Here's a list of cars that we currently have: ISI Historics F1 / Spark F1 ISI Historics F1 / EVE F1B 1968 ISI Historics F1 / EVE F1C 1968 ISI Historics F1 / EVE MS7/1 1966 ISI Historics F1 / EVE MS7/2 1967 ISI Historics F2 / Spark_F2 ISI Historics F3 / Spark F3 And Historics / Brabham BT20 Historics / EVE_F2 Historics / Spark_F1 Historics / Spark_F3 ISI F1 Historics / EVE F1 1968 And from waaaay back F1 / F1 F2 / F2 F3 / F3 I wonder which of these are still relevant with the latest version of the mod? i wanted to clear the database sometime anyway so it'd be cool to start off with a recent car list. Cheers, Uwe
Think I got it now...there seems to be an inconsistency in class names for the f3 cars. Anyway, the EVE F3 should register now, too. Longford is a great track, thanks to that farmer who left the corral open at the third turn Uwe
Hi folks, I'm ready to push a new patch into production which implements the mapping of class names to existing cars (so folks can upload their times driven with various skinpacks which thought it necessary to add new car classes just for the skins... sheesh ) Can some kind soul please provide me with the class names of the various skinpacks in existence? I'll add these to rf2rank then. Thanks, Uwe
From our news section: I've implemented a function to map unknown car classes to existing cars in the database. The first such mapping to be implemented is for the C6R community skinpack which defines a new car class while being physically identical to ISI's C6R car we all love The mapping function will now search for a matching name in the mappings table and, if found, map the lap time to the already existing car.
Big update Hi folks, I'm currently pushing a rather big update to rF2 Rank which implements world records and a few other pages. Please let me know if anything breaks! All the best Uwe
Basically it checks the laptimes during upload. If any of your new laps are faster than the existing overall & class records, the lap will get copied over to the world records table. Right now we have about 1,100 world records, but the page shows only the last 100 entries from that table. Cheers, Uwe
Love this feature, and was going to ask for a filter to display a section of the 1100 but realised we can already do this on the view laptimes page, with one inconsistency. We can choose the track and have it display all laptimes for all cars, but not choose a car and show all tracks.
Problem with Blancpain mod Grüss Dich Uwe, just when I uploaded my career file to the database, I discovered a problem where the Blancpain cars are shown in the laptimes as ISI cars. I know that mod is not in the database and I assume that the problem is related to the game internal naming of the cars in some way. Here's an example: I did a lap of the Ring Tourist in a Blancpain BMW M3 and it shows as the ISI Nissan GT-R. Laptime was 07:14,319. Also a lap of Silverstone with the Blancpain Ferrari F458 which shows as the ISI Chevrolet Camaro GT3. Laptime was 02:08,776 or 09,776 (not sure). Hope this helps. Danke für die Zeit die Du in das Rankingsystem steckst! Schönen Gruss, Stefan
Thanks for your feedback, Stefan! this bug may have been introduced by the new "world record" detection, I hope to have a look at it over the weekend. Are you using Dave Purdy's utility to generate the career file or the python script? All the best Uwe PS: Can you post the class names from the Blancpain series so I can add them?
