Great site this, more and more users posting their laps there. Great motivation for improving my driving.

Do you plan on including more tracks soon? I dont see the Top Gear track (dunsfold) in there yet. Or Melbourne, modern Spa, Bahrain, Oran Park (ok I'll stop now ) I guess Abriel Nei's list is a good reference.

 

Yep, in fact I do. Please post the GDB entry names here and make sure that if the track has different layouts, lap times get saved correctly to the right entry as otherwise we'll get a ton of weird laptimes in the database.

Also, if you're interested I can grant admin role to your rf2 rank account so you can add tracks yourself as they are released.

Just implemented the "clickable names" thingy, thanks for the suggestion.

The "instant ranking during upload" function will take a bit of work, though, so don't hold your breath

I've just noticed that AI's lap times can be uploaded and they are accepted like user made times, I think that's not pretty fair, I mean what's the point of competing if I can let AI drive for me and get the best time that way..

 

Yep, there's no way around it ATM as neither rf nor rf2 give any indication if AI was activated during a lap or not (we don't even get any info on driving aids used).

GPL- and rf1/2rank have always been based on the users honesty, right now we're still pretty small but should the site take off with thousands of drivers, just use your buddy list to include people you trust and ignore the rest.

This issue of uploading AI times is annoying, but for the opposite reason in my case as I am quicker than the AI so the AI times usually make me look slower to users of rF2 rank!! I like to check things by watching the AI drive when I can't get my playseat out (checking graphics settings and new tracks etc) so this leads to some inadvertent AI lap time uploading.

Also, I currently have an issue with rF2 rank. I have uploaded a Spa 2011 Corvette lap time of 2.21 that shows up in the 'Any' category but not the 'Overall' category. User name ~IsR Jason~.

I should add that it should show up in the 'Overall' category because its the quickest Spa Corvette time that I've uploaded.

Not too worried about it obviously, just thought I'd bring it to your attention.

 

I've mentioned this "feature" on the internal forum, we'll see if any changes will be made to CCH file handling.

Keep up the good work, this one is certainly one of the most beautiful rf2 addon tracks so far. FPS are great, too.

i think much of them are very early alfa tracks.

so, for me, i prefer waiting and add better versions.

 

It would be great if you could verify that for the multi-layout tracks, all GDB entries work (so lap times driven on the various layouts actually get registered for the version driven).
