SOLVED Rfactor2 game crashes with tyre wear past 70%

Sorry guys, I forgot to mention that I deliberately turned up wear rate to test less laps to get to the magic wear figure. So skidding at low wear and with high wear rate seems to be the problem.

No, high wear rate shouldn't bring any problems. As you have been told, you shouldn't be testing this on some custom-made rF1 tracks. There is no guarantee that an rF1 converted track would work bug free in rF2, rF1 is 10 years old and uses very different tech. Test on ISI content only and if it happens on custom tracks, then it's the modders fault and his job to fix it, not ISI's.
 
Ive tested on ISI Palm Beach, and with keyboard controls, still crashes. So, obviously not track nor controller related.

It doesnt crash during the skid or piroette, as I run the test, that I noticed on all occasions, but after I let of the throttle and the car comes to a rest. Then the game crashes.
 
Well after all was said and looked into except one possible obvious fix, I thought to reinstall rFactor2 and well would you guess the problem wasnt there anymore. Tyres are OK.
