sorry, it's still not possible for me (again) to play rFactor2 multiplayer LAN games . I've set "HTTP Server Port":64296, "Simulation Port":54297, (worked a few month ago) Is it possible to run dedicated server and rfactor2 (and play) on the same machine? I tried nearly everything (rFactor2 1.1133) (closing steam, starting dedicated server, start steam, start rFactor2 is inconvenient and useless) (each individual programm kills the other without further notice..) I start dedicated with Startparameter "C:\steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Bin64\rFactor2 dedicated.exe" +path="C:\steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\") Even, if i manage to start the dedicated server, without error log, then its not showing up on other PC, (that was working a few Month ago). it's very annoying Does anybody have some usefull hints for playing multiplayer? Thanks in advance
deactivated matching: it only generates the status "not Broadcasting" ("Steam Matchmaking Broadcast":false,) any further usefull hints ? Thanks in advance
@Leonardo1962 For me it still works with the Server and Game on the same Machine, when i use a "LAN" Shortcut. Create a Shortcut to the ..\rFactor 2\Launcher\Launch rFactor.exe, righclick on it, select Properties and use the following Entries In the Field "Target": "G:\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Launcher\Launch rFactor.exe" +multiplayer +connect="127.0.0.1:64297" +password XXXXXX +password.... can be removed, if the Server has none and you have to adapt the Path and Port (ONLY the Port!) to your Machine/Setting In the Field "execute in": "G:\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Launcher" You again have to adapt the Path. Then doubleclick on that Shortcut to join your Server.
