If nothing is mentioned in the release notes I guess maybe the fix didn`t get in this time as you say... I`m off to test a bit more whilst I have some spare time... I`ll report back later.
Can someone check to see if Night racing works fine for them at Mills or Silverstone (or any other ISI Track)? My lights are now useless at these tracks but fine at non ISI Tracks.
Thanks for the new release! Also, thanks for re-introducing torrents as a download alternative. EDIT: Fresh lite install with exact same settings gave me better FPS than build 228 on a very high detail converted track, so it looks promising so far.
Try a different hdr profile. The new realistic clear profiles for some of the newer track builds have to low values for auto exposure at night.
Here are two for Silverstone to try. View attachment SilverstoneHDR.zip V1 for Tintops and V2 for open wheelers.
I'm not sure... I think, when I was overinstalling new build over the older (back when we had builds 0xx and 1xx), the installer automatically detected current installation.
Have to say I can't recall anytime the installer has detected a previous/current install, it always defaults to PF and Users for me.
It says "Set HDR on by default" I know this sounds crazy, but can HDR be turned off? RF2 looks better for me with it off.
Did a fresh install, and did some laps with C6R and Clios at Silverstone. FPS are a little better compared to build 198 (50 to 60fps with full grid and high/full settings). Clios (driven by AI) seems to lock up tires on most corners, making a big amount of smoke, and if you drive close to the back of another car, the smoke (or rain or dirt) enters into cokpit. Is there a way to solve this? Also, someone can give me suggestions to have better colours and textures? I've set hdr profile (realistic clear), but the overall look is quite different from the screenshots I've seen before (I have an i7 3770, ati 7850 with latest drivers, 8gb ram).
It's only the default setting that has been changed, you can still turn it off and on (via the launcher or in game settings) just as you've always been able to.
I dont bother pressing alt+tab to solve the black screen problem. What is really problematic is that rf2 crashes when doing it online. There are several things that can cause a program sending us to desktop and it is really frustrating not to be able to come back unless pkaying in window mode. Fortunately window mode is not that bad unless as in rf1 where the screen was cut. The bad thing about it is that you need to lower your screen resolution to get full screen Enviado desde mi GT-I9505 usando Tapatalk 2
It doesn't make a difference. On or off, still looks the same. I guess I'll get used to it this way. Alt/Tab works fine for me. Not using window mode either.
Can you alt tab online as well? Offline no problem me either. Only when online racing Enviado desde mi GT-I9505 usando Tapatalk 2
I got join/leave lag again and reduced fps, i think league racing is not gonna happen for another year with this game. Sad to see.
