SOLVED rFactor build 300 installer - installer is already running

Hey guys, i have a problem with the installer when i run it, it says the installer is already running and i cant seem to get it to work.

Double check your processes by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ESC it may be running in the background. Find it and end task and start again.

Did the first time trying to install fail/freeze?

 

ive double checked and theres no process for the program running, the first time i run it from the pc being turned on it will take about a minute to load before saying the installer is already running

It can not be been well download or install

 

the game isnt installed, il try redownloading it might be corrupted some how

 

Googling "installer already running" throws up a lot of possibilities.

This one looks worth a shot without having to download/run anything new, and I'm making an assumption about the installer method...

An exact quote or a screenshot of the error message would help in determining if it's rF2 itself (unlikely) or a windows problem.

 

Restart your machine or quit the process in the task manager.
