rFactor 2 Does Not Detect Moza R9 HELP

Using the standard pairing/calibration options in settings, there is no indication that the game detects the Moza R9 wheel base.

I have exhausted my online search for solutions; it has yielded no results. I have seen only one or two instances of this problem - the solution was to alter the controller properties in steam, but in this case that had no effect. The game continues to behave as if there is no wheelbase connected to the computer. This is particularly confusing and concerning because I see that many people are using this wheelbase without issue, and that there is a calibration preset for it (but with Moza wheel and pedals) within the game as well.

The R9 works as normal with my other racing sim titles, and I see that it is detected by steam. rFactor2 detects my pedals and shifter box as normal.

Setup:
Moza R9 base
3DRap button plate (shifters) USB 2.0
OMP wheel
DT Racing Pedals
Windows 11

I would greatly appreciate and suggestions. I'm otherwise at a dead end, unable to play the game.

Is it turned on? Might be obvious, but you never know.
 
Hi @bemmis. What exactly do you mean by not detected?
You have said that you go through the pairing and calibration process.
Does that mean that in the steering set-up you can set the left and right turn and the steering lock limits, or is it not detected for that?
 
I have not successfully initiated detection or calibration, but have attempted to by accessing those menus. I mentioned that hoping to forgo speculation about trivial user error like this. Thank you though.

You need to make it clearer exactly what you've tried. For example:
  • Go to the assignments page
  • Click "steer left"
  • Turn the wheel all the way to the left (rotate it, multiple times).
Does the game not pick that up?

The wheel has some buttons? Does the game let you assign those?
 
In the rFactor2\UserData\Player folder you should have a Controller.JSON file.
Open that in a text editor - like Notepad - and search for "Device Name 1"
It should take you to a section that will list 16 devices.
You should find ALL the devices that rfactor2 "detects" will be listed.
Mine lists my shifter, handbrake, a homemade button box, pedals and wheelbase.
What does yours show?
