You can add text in all video editing software.

Premiere from adobe and final cut for mac, those two are the biggest ones out there.

You can also add text after you uploaded to youtube, youtube has an online editor with timeline where you can put text and so on.

But it just adds a layer ontop of the video, and people can choose to have it turned off, so nothing that is permanent for the video doing it this way.

I use for editing Sony Vegas Pro, is a good program.. But Intro (first 10-12 seconds) is made with Adobe After effects, than added in the edit..

If you need simplicity, I use the free Movie Maker from Microsoft. Really easy to use, add text, etc. and after grabbing for example a 32 GB of movie with fraps (fullHD) it lower that to something around 1GB so the YT upload is less painful ;)

    Guys...

I`ve never made a video in my life as I don`t really think I have enough pc grunt to do one without stutters etc tbh but I`d like to give it another try, maybe a lap with the MR01 (if I can get a good one :p)

Anyway, I`d just like to ask what are the best settings to use in fraps when capturing the video in the first place?

And once captured, what has to be done before uploading it to YT?

I`ll get the Windows Movie Maker too I think.

    Ta. :)

You might find it helpful to run the game @ 720P if that is what you are going to upload especially if capturing realtime and not from a replay. Capturing @1080P needs a reasonable system and takes forever to upload.. Capture full size @30 fps +. Prepare for some mahoooosive files to be written to your HDD. Make your movie. Render it out as an MP4 , or similar and upload to YT.

    Thanks for the help.

My file was 1gb, and it was obviously less than 720p quality. I'll look into this Bandicam.

    Good stuff, cheers kk.

One thing though, how would one go about running the game @720P?

    :)

720P is 720 pixels vertical resolution. So use 'configure sim' to select ???? X 720 resolution. It may distort the game if your racing and look a bit strange. If you run the game at 1920x1080 and capture at half resolution it comes out a weird size, everything tends to get scaled and quality goes down.

Running at a lower res might let you turn up some eye candy too :)

Whoops, those specs are old, I've now updated them again. On triples i cannot use settings this high, but on a single screen i get over 60fps with everything max and super sampling on - looks gorgeous, but not even a Titan would allow 60 with this on triples :)

I was not able to get decent fps due old PC, but otherwise I'm pretty happy for the result. Just practicing how to edit and so on... Nothing too special here :)

PS: Just joined here, so Hi fellow racers!
